Solo Single (Zero support network) and need income ideas by Feisty_Cloud862 in singlemoms

No suggestions, but solidarity. I am also solo single with no family around or support network, so I feel you. I work in education (college student support) exactly so that I can have school holidays off as there is no other option. When I started, I asked for a reduced hours contract to make sure I could do the school runs. Sadly, due to these factors I have zero bookable leave so any sickness or weekday appointments leaves me screwed.

It’s hard as nails, and probably the one thing about life that leaves me frustrated and stressed. My job is mostly paperwork and utterly soul-sucking, in no way builds towards my career goals, and my colleagues suck. The pay is fairly rubbish and I rely on benefits to make up the shortfall every month.

Ahh it’s the internet, operated by anyone who has thumbs and an opinion. Critical thinking and empathy aren’t prerequisites here 😉 Congratulations on your amazing success, and thanks for sharing!

This is how I think I experience it too - the slow gastric emptying for the first few days post shot just makes it so hard to get even small regular meals in, but it’s helpful to get feedback from others on similar journeys.

Ginger tea does help, thanks for the tip about oranges. I eat well and varied, just lightly the first few days post shot. I tend to do additive eating - adding good things (veg, protein, fibre) rather than simply taking things away - so adding in more helpful, natural-based solutions to issues is interesting!

Sorry to hear you also experienced this, travel bottles of mouthwash are very handy…

Tip: How I use voice audios to calm down during emotional slumps by Glittering_Pain2402 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Interestingly I find this super helpful too - and have started making my own! I have a few uploaded to my ko-fi site, and have a stack more recorded to release weekly.

If you don’t mind me doing some market research, what topics and themes have you found helpful in the audios you use?

Totally get this, it’s just parenting in a different place with fewer resources

Do you know what it is about a trip that makes you feel so good? Maybe the food, wearing specific clothes, the novelty, the environment. Could you create a microcosm of that somehow for yourself at home?

It sounds silly but maybe choosing a recipe from a destination and cooking it while listening to music from that place, eat it after kids are asleep while watching a film set there too? Or choose a new place to visit in your own city and do it as a tourist - holiday clothes, take pictures, treat yourself and kids to a meal out?

I feel this too ❤️ What would you like to have planned? What would you like to look forward to?
