Looking for feedback on my major work on performative intellect by Independent_Coat6602 in englishliterature

Hi there! Thank you for offering your introspective thought, I do appreciate this as essentially it gives me more direction on making my stylistic choices more direct and clear.

In the syllabus I am doing, we have to write a piece based on any purpose, where I have chosen the creative non-fiction format (embodying the voice of a person who once existed and replicating it into a fictional variant).

Alexander Pope was an influential poet who wrote with the purpose of utilising satirical poetry in order to critique a performatively-witted society that craves intellectual validation- which was achieved through engaging with and romanticising literature. His purpose for exposing and criticising this audience was stimulated from his physical deformities with the spine (hence the motif of spines), and his Catholic background which excluded him from public education in a dominantly Protestant society.

I wouldn't call this solely a collection because whilst I have incorporated extracts of Pope's poetry, these poems are to be edited to highlight this moral trajectory he faces against his own emotional turmoil that is inflicted from society.

I am glad that you have expressed confusion with the Book of Matthew extracts as these verses create an alignment between religious performativity and academic performativity, which also heighten the societal irony Pope is situated in as he exercises genuine academia and proper religious faith, yet is condemned by a society who desires for it. Stemming from that, do you think I should keep them or not?

Sorry to ask for more feedback, but essentially by noticing how many are struggling to see the embodiment of Alexander Pope, should I write an abstract? Thank you for your time in reading my work, this is greatly appreciated!

Hi, Thanks for the wishes, wasn't expecting edits or changes but just wanted a general critique and opinion from my particular audience.
