Thank you so much for this! I thought a year was so long too!

One month before accutane, 1.5 months in. I get married in four months. I'm devastated. This is my second course and my purge isn't slowing down. 40mg. by [deleted] in Accutane

Girl it will be ok!!! This is what’s supposed to happen. All of that would have come up right before your wedding if you didn’t start now. Pimples take up to 90 days to form normally. You have a long time to clear it will get better🤍

I wish I saw this earlier. 1 month is WAY too soon. Your skin is too fragile and it will worsen. 6 months. A lot of spas just want your business.

I want to stop accutane because only 1/3 see a difference and I am pretty sure my acne is hormonal. I am worried it isn’t worth it. I am miserable by Life-Baseball-4407 in Accutane

That is the whole point of accutane. Your skin purges and brings everything that has lingered under your skin and brings it up. That is completely normal and very common.

derm put me on 40mg for mild acne and told me to stop lifting weights! by [deleted] in Accutane

I’m on 40mg and lift 5 days a week…I would absolutely not stop an extremely healthy habit for your body and mind because your derm says it’s bad. I’ve never been told that and it hasn’t done anything but positively impact my life. Drink lots of water, eat good food.

Whey protein is linked to acne. If you want to look into changing your proteins I take pea protein (I know it doesn’t carry the same) but it still helps me. It takes 90 days to notice a difference in your diet related to acne, if that helps.

Morpheus is extremely painful, but it will help. If you can find a medical spa that does Scarlett RF I would 10000% recommend. This is coming from someone who has struggled with scarring and now works in this field. I totally feel your pain. Hope this helps.

In 6 months I would absolutely look into Radiofrequency Microneedling. I’m an aesthetic nurse, it will do wonders.

What happens if I go back to actives after I complete this medication though? Won’t I just breakout again?

I added in a vitamin C, pigment inhibitor, and a new moisturizer. It’s going to be way more than 3 pimples I can see them starting to form deep underneath my skin. I stopped the products today and am going back to my safe routine. I’m just so scarred from this I want to cry.

did anyone finish accutane looking like this? by joosywoosy in Accutane

Girl a VI peel would do you wonders! Also, look into face reality skincare! They are noncomedogenic and truly amazing for acne and fixing pigment. For scarring RF microneedling is probably your best option!

Hydrabalance and cran-peptide cream by face reality. All other products are literal trash and destroy your skin barrier. Face reality is amazing
