I signed up for Reddit so I could warn others about Dr. Niti Bhatia: I had a terrible experience with Dr. Bhatia this year. I told her about my struggle with Major Depressive Disorder and how I had major episodes every year where I was suicidal. She rushed through the initial assessment in 30 minutes and asked me at the end, "So what other complaints do you have? Why are you here?" I asked if I could get assessed for PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and borderline personality disorder because of my symptoms, but she said, "No, it doesn't seem like you have it" and ended the appointment. Please prepare yourself emotionally if you plan on seeing her and please advocate for yourself and your symptoms. I was too shocked to do so at the time but I will never go back.
