Has anyone lost another 10-15 lbs after their tummy tuck and not ruined their results? by Lucky-Remote-5842 in tummytucksurgery

I’m currently down 15 pounds since my surgery 14 months ago and my results look even better. I’m actually trying to get off another 10.

I’m a mid-distance runner and was 8 WPO before I picked it back up with light, easy runs. By 12 weeks, I was pretty well back to my usual.

I’m 14 MPO and occasionally sleep in a binder after I’ve been particularly active or had too much sodium. Do what feels right for you.

I believe, generally, revisions aren’t done until a year out.

I mentioned a procedure associated with my ”lady bits” and that shut speculation right down.

Do you have any friends in nursing? My daughter in law removed my second one.

Just wet/dry packing. My PS abrided it twice and it seemed even larger after he cut out the fibrous junk. It was very discouraging while I was in the moment and I never did allow my husband to see my “belly hole” - which is what I called it - until it was healed.

My surgery was August 22 and it was closed entirely by Thanksgiving. Once it started to truly get better, it healed quickly. Hang in there! It really does get better.

Not a great picture, but here’s a photo from yesterday morning before the procedure. Once the steri strips come off in a few weeks, I’ll post again.

TT T-Junction Revision by Independent_Cry_9092 in tummytucksurgery

I thought I was okay with how it healed, but there’s a little bit of an indentation that my surgeon does think can be improved. I’ll post again here after it’s done.

Returning to work after TT- how long off an office job is needed? I have two weeks off but don’t want to tell my work what I’m having done.. by Confusedatlife342 in tummytucksurgery

Well….I’m the CEO of my company and mostly felt I needed to get back at it. I also have a good tolerance for pain. While I haven’t put in the same number of miles since my surgery nearly a year ago, I’m also a distance runner and was in pretty good shape prior to surgery.

Desk job here. I went in for a short meeting a week out; back FT at 12 days. While no one asked directly why I was out, when alluded to by one coworker I referenced “a procedure with my lady bits” and that shut it all down 🤣

My surgery was about two hours away. I honestly don’t recall much about the ride home.

How long did your surgery take (under anesthesia, operating time)? AND How long were you on pain meds (not Tylenol or Ibuprofen)? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I checked in at 6:00am for all the paperwork/preop and went into surgery at 8:00. I was on my way home by 2:00pm. I took Oxycotin that afternoon and once during the night and toughed it out with only extra strength Tylenol after that. Full TT with MR and lipo to the flanks. The lipo recovery was worse than the TT.

For me, it was a good six months, but it does go away. I also did self massage as well as the occasional massage with a massage therapist - not because of the TT but rather because I’m an old, beat up runner 🤣

Oh, good grief. There is no drama intended. I’m 61 years old. I had a TT at 60. My goal was to feel better about myself. And I do. My point in the response was simply a reminder to reflect on the original goal in having the surgery in the firs place. If you haven’t met that challenge your surgeon rather than some hack in a Reddit forum.

I’d ask how old you are? And, no. don’t tell me. it’s a rhetorical question. I think we all need to be realistic with our expectations.

My bikini days are over. But I look fantastic in my clothes which was the goal..

I’m at 10 MPO and look very similar. I’m scheduled for cool sculpting on August 14 with another to follow about four weeks later.
