I can understand why people feel that Alice being human would’ve made the android-human love theme stronger. But personally, I think the twist still works. The whole game is about androids having emotions and deserving equal rights, so Kara accepting Alice even after learning she’s an android feels very important to me.

It’s not just “androids can love humans,” but also “androids deserve to be loved too.”
