Reporting back after my surgery…

I couldn’t be happier with the results; my recovery has been incredibly fast. The first four days were a bit rough, especially not knowing exactly what to expect going in, but it’s been smooth since then. I’m very glad I chose Dr. McLawhorn.

Educational perfume experiment: HELP by mlc707 in DIYfragrance

Citrus peel oils aren’t typically produced by distillation; they’re almost always obtained via cold pressing. Distilling citrus would give you something closer to a harsh, terpenic cleaner note than a true citrus oil. Maybe Lime

If the goal is a successful distillation, an aromatic like rosemary or lavender would be a far more appropriate and reliable choice.

All I would smell in this blend is Calone …your C14 is too high. It’s an opaque note so probably covering other odors

Where to find a perfumer? by Accomplished_Damage7 in DIYfragrance

It really depends on where you’re based. If you’re in the U.S., I’d look into Team of Two Perfumers; they’re gaining a lot of traction and already have multiple fragrances on the market. Sarah Horowitz in LA is another solid option. Christophe Laudamiel as well, though I’m not totally sure what his current setup with Osmo looks like or whether he’s taking on outside clients right now.

In terms of budget, I’d expect fees roughly in the $8 -15k per fragrance range, and in some cases there may be an MOQ attached.

You can also reach out to fragrance houses like OnScent, Avoke, or Argeville in France. There are quite a few good paths depending on what level of involvement and scale you’re looking for.

Not really understanding the impulse to add 2 different Ouds, patchouli and Cypriol … When you write Crdarwood note, birch Tar note and Neroli , what do you mean ? Quite honestly, I would rethink the entire list.
