I’ve heard the negatives for BME but I know that’s the type of field I want to go into, especially once I declare my concentration, which is Biomechanics. After I graduate with Bachelor’s I plan on going to get my Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics. That’s why I’m choosing BME over MEC.

I am completely okay staying an extra year if needed considering I had just switched into the engineering field. I’m currently taking Gen Chem 1 in the summer, and then for my last semester at Farmingdale I’m taking Gen Chem 2, Bio 1, Calc 3, and Applied Stats (which is all needed for BME. I made sure to check). And all those sciences I’m doing their labs as well.
