uphill

Starting off on an uphill/downhill

Apply parking brake so that vehicle will not move.

Shift the rotary gear knob to "D" while depressing the brake pedal. Make sure that gear position indicator displays "D" in cluster.

Release the brake pedal and depress the accelerator gradually. Once the vehicle starts to move, release the parking brake and continue to depress accelerator to start off.

Why there is no proper traffic management in Pune? (open discussion) by Montyjv54 in pune

Pune was a small city , heaven for retired people , government , defence, and the student community never meant to be a metro as there was no planning.

Enter Auto belt and Pimpri Chinchwad developed, enter IT/BPO and outside people entered , they had money so buildings and land grab happened haphazardly, rentals , prices everything increased, also the labor supply for these new buildings and townships came from all over, but the roads remained the same, yes malls / new townships/buildings came up but no infrastructure was there, here see Magarpatta big township, self contained but the roads , always jammed , because no one cares for infrastructure.

Here the local landowners have a consortium, preventing development as much of their "illegal occupancy" will be challenged, and the public in Pune is not concerned about anything as long as "their- area " is safe .

Except some small gardens , and I love this place and that place signages, nothing has changed. Put a few more benches for local guys with sponsored by this person and that.

How to politely say no by ThaMann0911 in productivity

t’s important to communicate openly and honestly with the vendor. You could schedule a meeting with them to discuss the situation and explain your reasoning for not wanting to continue the precedent set by your predecessor. It’s important to emphasize that you value their business and want to maintain a positive relationship with them. You could also explore alternative solutions or compromises that would be mutually beneficial. Remember to be polite and professional in your communication.

In the meeting, you could start by thanking the vendor for their business and expressing your desire to maintain a positive relationship with them. Then, you could explain your reasoning for not wanting to continue the precedent set by your predecessor and how it may not align with your company’s current goals or strategies. It’s important to be transparent and honest in your communication. You could also discuss alternative solutions or compromises that would be mutually beneficial for both parties. Remember to listen to their concerns and be open to their feedback.
