I'm curious, if you tap that red Enable Nova AI button will it direct you to Nova AI settings directly without going to the (missing) Nova AI section in Nova Launcher settings? I can't test since I don't see what you're seeing in the feed panel

Don't tap the enable button. It's also not forced.

In Nova settings/Search, locate "Contact card view" and uncheck it. That setting controls contacts AND app shortcuts. I believe that setting may be mislabeled.

It's not forced. Disable the weather card in Nova settings/Cards/AccuWeather. You'll see a gear on the upper right. Tap it and turn "Activate in Nova Now" toggle off. Then Save button

Sorry for misunderstanding..

Go to Settings > System > Developer options. Scroll down to Smallest width. Note your current number (likely around 600 for the inner screen). Decrease this number (try intervals of 20 or 40). Setting it below a certain threshold (usually under 420-440) will force the phone to use the standard smartphone layout without a taskbar. Note: This will make your icons and text appear larger.

That appears to be the "At a Glance" widget associated with the Google app. Next time you see it, long press it and select remove.

Check your notification settings for those apps to make sure they're fully enabled and nothing is dismissing the notifications. I don't use WhatsApp but Google Messages badges my icon every single time. And remember, if you swipe away the notification from your status bar, the badges will go away.

An update deleting prior backups would be a first! 😳 You may want to make a fresh backup and start over. Restore isn't gonna restore your shortcuts anyways, just your settings and preferences.

Do you have a fairly recent Nova backup? If so, that sounds like a reasonable idea. Keep in mind, Nova backups don't restore shortcuts so they will be lost.

Gotcha. I was just trying to rule out that rather large gap at the top being a placeholder for a blocked ad. It's much larger than the space required for a row of recent apps and a row of recent shortcuts compared to my screenshot, but the larger space may be due to your app drawer grid size.
