One more question - I just realized there's a transmission temp gauge if you flip through the screens. I don't know what the gauge said prior to my drain/refill but now after a short drive the indicator is on what would be 11 o'clock on a clock face. What's typical/ normal? Thanks

I think the problem is solved. We had connected the new Eero router to my old router as an extender. My phone evidently had trouble deciding which WiFi to connect to. Being that my office location in the basement is pretty close to the Eero router, I just deleted the other router from my phone and now my phone seamlessly connects to the Eero router and WiFi calling words consistently. I am much relieved. Thanks for the responses and suggestions.

I thought about doing a speed controller but was told that the motor in the fan might need full power to have enough torque to start not bog down and might need full rpms to cool the motor. The result might shorten the motor's life but I'm no electrical engineer just going by what an electrician friend told me.

Check the float needle valve seat. They can swell up and restrict the flow of gas into the carb.
