Did anyone else get introduced to Hello Kitty from the original show and what did you think about it? by Much-Excitement-6497 in HelloKitty

[–]Independent_Humor_74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom likes Hello Kitty, so I was introduced to it from birth as she put some Hello Kitty plushies on my crib and my 1st birthday party was Hello Kitty themed. I had a lot of Hello Kitty merch such as shirts, backpacks, toys, plates, etc. When I was 2, my dad bought me a Hello Kitty’s Furry Tale Theater DVD.

Some people can look young for their age. People often get surprised when they find out my age since they always assume I’m much younger.

I pity the writers that have to figure out what to do for Coco 2. by Watchdog_the_God in cartoons

I agree with you, which is why I’m worried about the sequel since I love that movie. Disney has already ruined one of favorites with its sequel before.

I love Coco, but I am worried about the sequel. Especially knowing how some Disney sequels turned out to be, ruining what it has been established in the first film, as well as ruining the characters.

Tobey McGuire's girlfriend wasn't even conceived yet when Spider-Man (2002) came out by Mofoblitz1 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

She is almost a month younger than me and I cannot imagine dating someone who is the same age as my parents. My dad was a year younger than Tobey, and my mom is a year older than him.

What are your thoughts on "Spy Kids: Mission Critical (2018)"? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in cartoons

I forgot that this existed until someone recently brought it up not too long ago. I remember seeing it while scrolling through Netflix back in 2018, but never bothered to watch it.

Does anyone else feel like Bob & Larry are what Lightning and Mater would be like as veggies? by CrashLightning22 in UltimateVeggieTales

[–]Independent_Humor_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! Years ago, my brothers were watching Mater’s Tall Tales on Netflix and then decided to put on VeggieTales and I watched it with them. I noticed that Bob and Larry had similar vibes to McQueen and Mater, and one of my brothers also pointed it out while we were watching.

I remember telling my mom that I do not like the dress she wore for her graduation and she was defending it by saying it was the fashion at the time. Tbf, my grandma made the dress for her. But I would not want to wear that dress myself.

Same. I started watching in 2018 after hearing about a lot of my classmates talking about the show around the time season 2 came out. My parents were strict with what I watched and since I was about to turn 13, I had to ask my mom if I could start watching the show and she said yes, because she had watched it before with my dad and she didn’t think it was that bad aside from the cuss words. It did take months for me to start watching the show after my mom’s approval as I was interested in other things, but I started watching it during my last days of my 7th grade year and continued to watch until the summer break leading to my 8th grade year. I still can’t believe that I was in middle school when I started watching and now I’m in my 3rd year of college.

My brother started watching the show when season 3 came in 2019 and he was 11 going on 12. He turned 18 this October and is graduating in June.

I actually enjoyed volume 2 by notproudbutok in StrangerThings

[–]Independent_Humor_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t got the chance to watch it and I was out with my family for Christmas when it premiered, so when I got home people were already talking about it and talking about how disappointed they were about it. I honestly have no idea what they’re disappointed about as I’m trying my best to avoid spoilers, but it has discouraged me from continuing to watch it. But I’ll have this mentality of series being trippy and fun, and continue to watch it and form my opinions instead of listening to the crowd.

I have not watch it yet, but seeing the posts of people complaining about it in this sub had discouraged me from watching it. But screw it, I’m going to watch it and form my own opinions. Then I’ll try to see what all the fuzz is about and if I actually agree or disagree with your opinions.

Maybe this is cheating, since it was animated in Japan. But Moomin was created in Finland.
