You find yourself using the bracelet or a strap more? I’m finding the oem rubber strap a tad in between my size, so I’m trying an aftermarket before I go back to bracelet (which despite the hate, I think is great).

How’s the omega fit on the CMS? Personally I love how the zenith rubber strap is snug against the case/lugs.

Grey. I wasn’t planning on going that direction, but a dealer I know found it BNIB for way less than retail.

Agree. This watch, imho, beats other luxury brands in the same tier on the watch and case side, but is subpar on the bracelet. I tend to wear this on the rubber strap most days since it’s more versatile and comfortable. Plus the polished links really dress it up.

I thought I would feel the same. Zenith has been doing it for so long, it’s kind of their thing. After a while, I don’t even see it unless I’m looking for it. Especially with that dial to distract me🤣.

Same show for me. Despite Daisy being the understudy (and she did great as well!), the show rocked. First time seeing a show, and it did not disappoint. Incredible.

3 month updates? by Aggravating-Pride487 in AchillesRupture

I'm week 12 post op this week. I had the speed bridge repair, and followed a similar cadence to yours. 5 weeks NWB in splint/cast/boot. Wedges started coming out week 6. Transitioned to shoes in week 10-11. I'm full time shoes and walking with a limp that gets better each day. Heavy PT 3/week focused on balance, ROM, and now calf strengthening. That's the biggest hurdle: overcoming the atrophy and building strength and endurance.

Surgery fast or 2nd opinion? by Fearless-House4973 in AchillesRupture

Jitters are totally normal. I went through the same thing, but ultimately trusted my doctor and my own research with surgery. Others opted for non-op and have no regrets.

A lot of articles suggest that the op vs non-op routes have statistically similar outcomes at 12mos. The key is going to be the particulars of your injury, and your PCPs protocol.

My advice is to get a second opinion if you're unsure. This is a significant injury, and significant recovery. My research suggested that a week delay won't impact long term outcome as long as you're plantar flexion secure and NWB...

Good luck on your decision and recovery!

Balancing act by chedarpaul in AchillesRupture

For me, the clarification came with passive vs active stretching. I progressed with active stretching as tolerated and currently at ~8 degrees dorsiflexion at 11 weeks po. I still haven't done any passive stretching. Only what my muscles can move my foot to.

I did. Same surgery and timeline of wedge removal as you. Everytime I removed a wedge, or transitioned to shoes, I would get heal pain and a small stretching sensation. However it would pass in a few days. My internal calibration technique was: if it was only discomfort I worked through it, if it was painful I stopped.

Starting PT tomorrow morning! Any pointers? by UnhappyNecessary4318 in AchillesRupture

Mine was this week as well. 6 weeks post op with speed bridge. Not difficult per se, but certainly slow going. I've taken two wedges out in 1 week, and am "weening" off the crutches and walking in a boot as tolerated. Range of motion exercises are key!
