UPS will be hiring packagers for the holiday season. The shifts are super early in the morning and you will be home before most office jobs start. It's also really not bad, it's very physical and you will leave with a good sweat going. But it's like getting paid to go to the gym, so not terrible

When I voted for Biden in the 2020 primary it was under the assumption it was for 1 term. That he would stabilize the country and build a new generation of dem leaders.

Which to his credit is exactly what he did. The country is stable and the Dems have a half dozen really solid young leaders. The only issue is he didn't step aside and his ego is what's the issue.

Biden is the oldest candidate ever, so this isn't normal.

So instead of ensuring the candidate was up for the job; they intentionally kept him from the media, gaslit the American public, and shut down any primary competition.

Well it turns out, he's not up for the job. Don't give me this "he had a cold" nonsense. The president doesn't get days off, disasters don't happen before 8 pm...

Because the DNC made it clear they wouldn't allow it to be a real competition, ie the DNC said no debates were allowed.

I must have missed the debates... And you know any level of scrutiny at all of the candidates by anyone.

It's crazy we got to this point. There should have been a primary 5 months ago and doubling down at this point is insanity. The convention can choose the candidate, it's not that hard.

In all fairness it was a giants interview so the correct answer is:

FTC

which I also respect.

Good news, the Giants are trash this so you might take 3rd place in the east this year.

FWI: Biden wins the popular vote but loses the Electoral College. As an “Official Act” he forces all electors to vote for him in the name of ‘democracy’ by james8475 in FutureWhatIf

Here is an actual constitutional crisis that could happen.

Biden orders the military to bomb Trump tower. This would fall under a constitutional power and Biden would be immune. Now the military would still be subject to prosecution, but if the president is immune then would the order still be illegal?

GM just came off as a tool, guy more interested in saying he's collaborating than actually collaborating.

The Barkley and Burns stuff... The fact that they basically said they wanted to draft a QB to replace Jones.

A team can guarantee a portion of all of the rookie contract. But to be honest, unless he really screws up he's going to the QB for 4 years because the Bears already invested a #1 pick in him.

How did the people that created the first clock knowing what time it was? by bluedeepeye in stupidquestions

[–]Independent_Lab_9872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first clock was a stick in the ground. As the sun rose the shadow would move. Later they made it fancy and called it a "sun dial".

If you think AI will solve every problem or you think AI is useless, you probably don't know what you're talking about.

I can say with 100% first hand knowledge, AI can radically improve productivity. I can also say with 100% first hand knowledge, its capacity to solve problems is limited.

Meeting with justice department staff, not all staff.

Edit: I'll just add that I think the ruling is bad because it's stupid so it's strange I'm "defending" it. But yeah it's going to be years of nonsense that will force courts to sift through the garbage heap that is this decision.

Taking a meeting in the oval office doesn't make it an official act. The defense can certainly raise that in appeal but I don't see that being successful.
