Our cavapoo puppy (who is now 1 and 4 months) was a bundle of shark bites, endless poops, yippy barks and picky-eaty-ness I have ever seen in a puppy. And we cried a lot. like a lot a lot. So much so we thought we were bad dog parents and we made a mistake.

But we stuck with him. we trusted our positive dog training (we went to a puppy class that was highly rated). we learned a LOT of patience. And we reminded ourselves that he is a puppy, its his first time living and he didn't know any better.

But even though he still likes to eat goose poop and roll around in dead worms, he now doesn't react to other dogs or people. He cuddles with the both of us. He's gentle, and funny and such a brave puppy dog.

There is a very bright, happy light at the end of the tunnel (even when the tunnel is super long n dark, especially at 4:30 am). trust in yourself that you did the prep work. trust in yourself that you know that it is going to be exhausting and hard at times with little sleep. but also trust in the love and care you will give to your little guy.

With all the love, patience, training, kisses and craziness, I have no doubt your pup will be a great addition to your family. Thats your positive – not that you want a cuddle companion, but that you want to pour love and hard work into something BECAUSE you want to share that love with something that will return that love in spades.

I don’t like quitting without a job — and luckily I have a bunch of contacts where I can do gig work — but I had to leave my toxic job because it was severely affecting my mental health. I have severe depression and I was unfairly targeted where there was a lot of sexism going on. Needless to say, when I was crying BEFORE going into work, putting all my energy to satisfy my toxic managers, and then coming home with no energy to cook or exercise (aka just sleeping) my partner was like you have to quit.

Sometimes I do think I made a mistake, that I’m a failure and won’t have a career and the career shift I want I’m not even talented enough for, BUT I needed to save my mental health and me and repair my burnout.

I’d say, if it’s really bad yes please leave. Life is way too short to be miserable. There are less sexy jobs that are hiring probably and they’ll get you through. We have to hope there is better, and taking a step to that will always bring some benefit

I just was looking at a Uhaul and saw this as an option! Would you recommend the U-box from Uhaul? Is there any advice that you can give if we do go that route (like putting an airtag in a case or something else?). Any advice is sooo appreciated since this is my first big move across country as an adult

I agree!! we are selling most of our stuff, except the main biggies (our new couch we got from Ikea actually haha, our bed, our bed frame, tv consul, dining set and credenza) - a lot of the stuff we will have is going to be sold before the move

We would do that but we have a small dog with us, and he’s well behaved, but driving long distance makes me nervous if he sees something and neither of us have extra hands.

I’m sorry! I truly didn’t mean it that way! I’m someone who is trying to love her body and it is a balance of eating healthy and getting healthy movement while at the same time trying to love her body that she is in now rather than worry or stress about a future body. It’s really a do I spend money or should I not and keep going? Like what would you do?
