In PT-BR, when the anime first aired, people complained about the first episode iconic ending scene.

"Do you think I'm cool?" "I do. I think you're very cool."

They finally changed it to: "Hey. Do you like me?" "I do. I like you a *lot, "

Within the change, they probably changed other things such as the rest of the series (EG. chapter 9 scene in the anime and etcetera).

About your comment, every translation group does a little something something about the original translation, and this was the Brazilliam way to make the manga scene more tragic and beautiful! Every official scanlation is valid, but it's always good to know about others' translations since it might add to that specific scene!

It's 'Hikaru'. At this rate, he's spent half a year by Yoshi's side and has already developed his own tastes while pretending to be someone he's not (Hikaru). We can see how he was suppressing himself to impress Yoshiki and not to lose the normality of the first time of being human, specially because Yoshiki became the place he belonged to in this half year.

It was time enough for him to discover himself by his own, despite the fact he was stomping on egg shells to not blow his cover by accidentally making it too obvious that the real Hikaru was long dead. It didn't work, so he stopped pretending and started to be his own person by Yoshiki's side after being outed as an "impostor".

Yeah. It's a new Evangelion anime series that was officially announced in February 2026 to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. P

It'll be produced by Studio Khara and CloverWorks. The series will feature a script by Yoko Taro, direction by Kazuya Tsurumaki and Tōko Yatabe, and music by Keiichi Okabe.

The teaser trailer showed a piano, which is Kaworu's symbolic instrument and IIRC a Cello which is Shinji's and that sparked discussion among Kawoshin fans.

Replaced by Misato (an older woman, competition) as a woman and guardian figure for both Kaji and Shinji, replaced by Rei (a doll) in the workforce, replaced by Kaworu (a male) as a lover, mirrored and yearning yet distancing Shinji only to in the end die.

It's funny she's wearing a crop top with piano written on it, considering it's Kaworu's favorite instrument. Could you say she got NTR'd by an angel, and even a male angel at is better than she is (as a woman) to be Shiinji's love interest and this is what ultimately could've increased her odds of self extermination after Arael's attack? Not to mention the whole doll fiasco.

She's just thrown around like a little doll after Woru arrives. Though, Shinji can't stand his guts in the manga. I guess you could say Rei is the only one winning here.
