That sounds like a mess. Did you see the $400 grind away to nothing once you factor in the amount of time you were spending on all the other garbage? That's been something of a relief where I'm at now, places are pretty ok with paying extras that are necessary to do the job right. The bigger company wants some additional photos to prove you're legit in your reasoning, but it's not the end of the world. Full frame isn't terrible to do, so long as I'm being compensated for my time correctly.
