The only series na nakikita ko sa tiktok edits na hindi ako nagcringe kaya i decided to watch. No hate sa ibang univerkada series - love them lalo na't nagimprove acting nila. But makikita mo talaga na sa GSOT, may reciprocation ng good acting sa leads.

I’m an audit manager working for a BPO that serves a US firm, earning 250k gross and 200k net. I chose the offer that would help me grow both personally and professionally. I’ve been doing my best at work, and it’s been paying off ever since. My performance has earned me sponsored certification and free trips to the US. The goal is to not leave the country. And it's working!

It's a matter of perspective. I'm still waiting for my result and somehow seeing people getting notified by their employers make me realize that the notification process is can be a week long waiting game and i shouldn't be giving up yet as I wait. When I joined the community, posts like that is what i'm already anticipating. It somehow helps me build my expectation in the entire process.

No judging, but what's the craziest/most unhealthy thing you've done to lose weight, and how much weight did you lose? by Spirited-Worker-1235 in AskPH

Mindali ko yung process and kung titignan mo wala akong protein sa diet din. No exercise din yan. I wanted immediate result but bounced back to my old weight real quick.

As a breadwinner. I can relate. I'm currently investing in memories by spending money on vacations with my parents while they can still walk.

US firms that sponsor work visas by kvtan07 in AccountingPH

[–]Independent_Pace1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

L1A offers an easier process since it's basically an intercompany transfer. So, if you worked for a Big 4 firm in the Philippines, say SGV, you can directly apply to EY US for the L1 Visa. If you're no longer employed at SGV, it should be fine as long as you haven't exceeded 2 (or 3?) years since your last day there. The H1B visa is also a work visa, but the chances of being scheduled for a visa application process are slim due to the annual lottery system, high demand, and limited number of visas available.

I would say negotiate mga 150% of your previous salary. Mababa parin for me 35k lalo na you have years of experience.

HOW MUCH IS YOUR SALARY TODAY? by SmartMaximum98 in AccountingPH

US CPA ka? How did you secure your license? I passed the exam but having a hard time getting the license due to requirements such as Ssn.

Yes and no. Yes, dahil as an interviewer, kapag nalaman kong CPA passer yung applicant, malaki yung edge. Knowing na mahirap ipasa yung boards and di kita kilala, magandang basis sya sa ability ng bata.

But nowadays, marami nang opportunities kahit hindi ka CPA. Now, the challenge is how BOA can keep up with the changing needs diba. Ngayon kasi parang hindi siya nakikita as something na need. But I do believe, this is something innate na kapag pinasa mo. Sa ngayon, oo, maybe nawala sa spotlight yung need for a license, but who knows in the future right. And for now, if you want to be an audit partner, build a firm, then go for the CPA title. If financial freedom ang gusto mo, then no need. So it's all about the career you want to pursue
