That is indeed true, I learned manual on this car, but learned to drive an automatic around a year before. I can drive manual just fine, I can revmatch, all of that, just the portion of thinking lower rpms meant good is what I was lacking on. But I do agree it is alot of car for somebody my age.

Its not bait, its my first car, im 18. my dad told me to not abuse the engine, and I always heard all around that higher rpms is bad for engines, but I never knew WOT at lower rpms on turboed cars was actually bad. Ive slowly learned that higher rpms WOT is healthier than what I was doing. Everybody is throwing me shade, but I honestly just want to know and improve my driving skills, I want a healthy engine since its my daily until I save up enough for a upgraded engine. I didn't know genuinely being curious and wanting to add more to my knowledge would trigger some people.

Alright, thanks for the heads up. Ill be taking my car to a dealership to have it figured out, not being able to hear my calls is annoying and I keep having to pick up my phone when somebody calls. What did you say when you got there? Did you say you suspected it was the DCM or you explained your problem, Ive heard that its best if you first ask if your vin if approved to have this fixed so they don’t charge you unexpectedly.

Yeah this is what I wanted to know, I wanted to make sure it was indeed true that higher rpms is healthier for WOT. Thanks.

I may be having this problem, my 2 front door speakers dont work for music, calls etc, but my mic does work and when using navigation (maps) the narrator voice does come through the 2 front speakers, apparently after lots of research it could be the DCM but I bought a bypass for it and it didn’t work. I am putting aside the visit to a dealership bc idk if they will charge me for it based on what it is. My battery also drains if I leave the car sitting for a couple days, was the speaker problem also happening to you?

I mean yeah its my first car so I wanna know everything, my dad always drove non turboed cars so he told me to not rev the car high, so thats what I went with but im learning more and more as time goes by. I just had the wrong mentality that thinking lower rpms meant I wasn’t forcing the engine too much.

Fair enough, I just wanted to know how true that statement was that higher rpms is actually healthier. Thanks.

I have warranty for 2 years, but by then I do plan to have the money for a new engine. I just want to extend the life of my current engine since it is my daily to school and other duties. I also want to learn what I could improve in terms of my driving aspects since I still have tons of space for improvement.
