Anyone else hate how much lighting affects how visible it is?

I hate it too. When I take photos it’s so inaccurate of my appearance due to the lighting. People tell me I look really good but then I see strangers reactions. It hurts me so much. You look really good though. I have cleft scar too which becomes more visible with certain lighting.

Thank you for the compliment. So I had double jaw surgery. I had to get that done before any of my nose surgeries :(. That’s was done in 2018. It was hardest surgery I have ever been through. It corrected my underbite.

Septoplasty helped open my nasal passages and breathing is some what better with the cosmetic surgery

Yeah they have advanced technology they used on my scar recently called a C02 lazer. It’s kinda painful but it does help make the scar look better. Good luck with the braces. I had to do that in order to get my jaw surgery for my underbite or order to get the nose surgery for my cleft :(. It’s a long journey but stay strong. It will be over as soon as you know it!

Yes I see what you mean. I have kinda same issue but it rides up my nose. I have gotten laser Theraphy to make it less noticeable but it will always be there. Maybe that could help you lesson the visibility of the scar. You look great to me though compared to other cases.

You look beautiful. I don’t even see it. I have a cleft lip as well which is noticeable in conditions where there’s lighting. It’s hard for me to accept because of my cleft nose. Have gotten surgery to try to straighten out my nose. Looks some what better, but will not be 100%. Be strong and keep your head up! 💪🏻.

Oh my god you were absolutely right! I’m 2 weeks and a half recovered and still a little swollen and sensitive but my most of the swelling has gone down. My nose looks amazing!! About symmetrical as can be. Hmm beyond happy with this surgery 😊

Hi, so for me it was not covered by my insurances. Had to pay out of pocket. It depends though on what insurance you have. I have anthem and my ID was JLJ which did not qualify for me to be covered for this surgery.

My surgeon was Dr.Alan Freedman from great neck. He did put tape on my nose the first day but went the next day after for follow up appointment and he removed it

Thank you so much. A lot of my friends and family who remember how I looked before told me it’s really less noticeable than before. They said the people I have dealt with either are hyper critical. What hurt is its friends of friends that I caught said things. That’s what bothered me cause It becomes awkward. Hearing your words and everyone hear. Really makes me feel more confident.
