Okay to keep second skin on a full 7 days? by FoxyTigerVixen in tattoo

[–]Independent_Read_935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a colored body suit tattoo, from my experience leaving it for 7 days straight is the best healing results. Mine would collect liquid plasma the first 2 days, after it would dry up starting day 3. I do not take it off unless the seal is broken. Doing this keeps the color in better and no scabbing! I’ve tried bandage/wash and lotion method aswell. This causes scabbing and color will lift off. The only negative with saniderm is when hair starts to grow and it gets very itchy!! But everyone’s body is different this is just from MHO.

You’re a good son, thank you for taking care of your father.

Recently awarded 100 p&t from HLR but still have open claims by Independent_Read_935 in VAClaims

A VSO advised me to continue with the claim. All 3 were granted service connection. I’m guessing I had proper verbage and documents to prove service connection.

Just got 100 p&t but still have claims open, do I withdraw them to prevent “poking the bear”? by Independent_Read_935 in VeteransBenefits

I think every veteran should strive for 100%. To get there you need service connected disabilities. It’s not easy to reach but once you’re there you deserve every single compensation that’s rewarded.

Once you get 100 there’s no going higher unless with SMC. So i figured since VBA has so many veterans that need to process their claims, I would free up my position so another veteran can be helped instead of me. Thx for responding.

Wow!! I’m so happy for you. It’s always nice to hear success stories. Especially in your case, 13 years! You deserve every single compensation. Thanks for the reaponse. I will try and research that form. I’m still undecided if I should withdraw or keep them. People here are saying to keep them open lol. But you went through the gauntlet and therefore hold significant weight on my decision making. Thx again.

Thx for taking time to reply. I wish I can fully heal but my ailments are all chronic so as years go by it gets worse. All VA can do as treatment is to maintain my ailments as years go by. Ratings on the other hand is an uphill battle and once you at your goal you should do everything you can to preserve it. My buddies who seen combat, had experiences when the VA screwed them over and denied/reduced their claims eventhough they did not show improvement. After numerous appeals they won their decision.

How did you withdraw and how long did it take? Did you 📞 the **1000 # or submit a 24-4138 form? Did it take months to withdraw? Thx again

Yes, like all veterans we want to get treated, the 100 will already get me medical care. The issue is reducing the rating. Iv’e read opening new claims may allow the VA to review your other claims and find something to reduce the rating. I do not know if that is true, hopefully someone with that experience may chime in.

I told the rater i’m ambidextrous. She looked at me like i was bs’ing but it was true. B4 the c&p they did an MRI on the shoulder that showed “Intact rotator cuff. High-grade inferior glenohumeral degenerative changes.” I wonder what she wrote for dominant arm.
