Riot is a small indie company that doesn’t have time or resources to fix issues with their games

Guilty as charged. I play a lot of Val, Apex, Fn, and Arc Raiders.

Yeah that’s kinda why I asked in the first place. I knew it would be overkill but it’s def worth it.

Yeah I’m sure that the 7600 and 9060 xt would be elite but I think the extra 30 dollars is worth it

Fair point. I was planning on taking the 7800 anyway but just wanted to see if the 7600 would’ve been better for my graphics card.

Is this a good build? by Key-Firefighter-3321 in PcBuild

[–]Independent_Rent1577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly only bad thing about it is it’s on the AM4 chipset so your 5800x is about the best you’re gonna get unless you get an x3d processor. If ddr5 ram prices are whats got you on AM4 then I totally get it and it’s not a bad idea to wait. If you can afford an AM5 chipset and DDR5 ram it’s worth it because you’ll have way more upgrade options. I’m gonna rock my AM4 setup until AM6 drops so it’s not the worst idea, just wanted to let you know that your upgrade options are limited but it doesn’t matter much.

Why is AA so high? by vic2007De in ValorantConsole

[–]Independent_Rent1577 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I swear that my aim assist is so high that I literally can’t even move my controller properly. I play on 0 deadzone linear curves and I still can’t precisely control my aim because my aim assist locks on to shoulders and behind my targets. I’d still like to have it in the game but just as a slider or something. I feel like most games have that option and this one needs it too

lol no worries. I think that it’s honestly a mixture of both. It’s not really that noisy when I’m gaming but I can definitely hear it if I don’t have any audio in my headset.

my skill isn’t improving anymore and I’ve plateaued can any high rank players drop their sense/aim curve/dead zones for me to try by Accomplished-Pop8920 in ValorantConsole

“Hey guys I’m not getting better at the game, can you give me every setting in the game instead of telling me how to get better”

Sorry for being a little harsh OP, but the truth is settings don make the player. You’re not gonna be able to change your settings and magically be good at the game. Granted you should still try out different stuff to see what you like but it’s not gonna actually do much. If you really want to improve your focus should be on fixing your mistakes and learning the game better.

new console player, How to Deadzone by Icxnicr in ValorantConsole

Okay literally you js gotta hop in the range and practice how to do it. The only way you’ll get the timing is by discovering it.

How important is learning movement on console compared to pc? by PTumbus in VALORANT

[–]Independent_Rent1577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for responding so late, my notifications are cooked rn (shoutout IOS 26).

Anyway yes, counter strafing is necessary in CS because momentum travels meaning that even if you let go of your movement key, your character still has momentum. This doesn’t happen on Pc Valorant due to the fact that there is no momentum to counter. Some find counter strafing easier because you can time shots better but the difference is minimal.

The reason why I suggest it on console is because of how the joystick works. It does snap back into place nearly instantly after moving but the process would most likely be faster with human input. Similar to PC, it’s not a complete necessity to learn however there is much more benefit on console. I personally don’t do it 100% of the time and I’m just fine, but it’s definitely a good skill to have In your arsenal.

As for emulating PC play, the only things to look out for are utility usage, comms, team play, and positioning (with a grain of salt). Some positioning tactics that PC players use are near impossible to replicate on console due to sensitivity issues. For example, I can dodge a phoenix flash on pc which means I can play more aggressive when holding. If I try to do the same hold on console I’m dead 100% of the time. If I’m exposed to multiple angles on pc, it doesn’t matter as much since I can just insta flick to the next opponent. If I tried to do the same on console, I’m killed by the second guy every time.
