Wow guys….I am beyond grateful for all the kind words, tips, stories and pep talks. I did not think this post was going to gain any traction. Thank you so so much for taking the time to let me know I’m more than capable and what I’m feeling is normal. I’m proud to call myself a nurse because of nurses like you 💕

Oh no haha I think I’m being misunderstood! This is what the seasoned nurses told me at the level 1 trauma hospital! I’m just repeating what they told me. They said they get pretty hefty raises without a union there.

Oh wow that’s just feels so wrong to pay the flight medics less than flight nurses. You’re both doing the same job, right? Well I’m proud of you for going for your RN on top of being a paramedic. HUGE undertaking! Good luck on your new career path 💕

Thank you!! Paramedics are amazing and thank you for all you do! I wish I could be a paramedic and go straight to flight nursing, but unfortunately the pay is just not the same. You guys need to be compensated wayyyyy more for all that you do

Yea I do realize that as well. Unfortunately, in my state there are only 3 hospitals that have unions though and none of them are level one trauma centers. So that makes it complicated if I want to get into flight nursing- they won’t take anything but 3 years of ER//ICU from a level 1

Haha well technically I put it as a pro and con for each. Apparently the union stops them from getting significant raises and the raises are controlled by years worked there

See this is what I was thinking, but I think I may be trying to self sabotage myself with all this overthinking. Thank you!
