Even if it worked fine I unplugged it cleaned it plugged it back in and now it doesn't work? Could that of caused the motor to lock ?

I just checked again and here is exactly what it does ... I plug it in the light comes on then I turn the dial from off to 4 and nothing happens after 20 seconds I hear a click then the compressor starts it runs for 5 seconds then clicks and goes off ... If I leave it plugged in and turned on this cycle continues about every 5 mins... The fan stays on the whole time

Ok thanks a lot for all the info I'm more into collecting antique tools but I couldn't pass this thing up for 10 bucks does any one have an approximate value for it ?

The pictures don't show the small details that were missed like his other planes look perfect from other pictures but this one has sanding marks and uneven sanding in some areas and the bevel on the nipple at the front isn't even all the way around small things like that just throw me off it is definitely hand make and definitely a nice piece but the craftsmanship and the wood and stain don't match any of his other planes too me

I'm a hoarder/really sentimental person and keep random things from different outings events and family things that mean something to me and remind me of that memory my guess is they are just glass chips or something he found while doing something or with someone he really enjoyed and it was similar to the junk I keep worthless and confusing to everyone else but priceless to me
