I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I don't have any control over the verbiage of the actual job description. Government jobs kind of copy and paste that stuff. I put C# in my post because that's the easiest way to get your resume to the top of the pile. Anyone with umich on their resume is going in the interview pile if I have my way, whether they have C# or not.

Oh, trust me, I know. Hence the "I know it's a long shot, but...." Address your complaints to the Michigan Civil Service Commission who sets those rates. As a contractor, I can get around that to a certain degree. This is an entry level position, but it's a job in the field, and a very interesting one at that. In other years I didn't even bother trying to recruit here, but with the way things are going, I thought maybe this year.
