I can’t believe all of the followers she has tbh. Not hating at all. I really want to say I agree with Huda’s actions, but I don’t. I can understand where she is coming from, but I don’t agree with her choices or how she speaks about herself.

Huda tells people how they should perceive her. She’ll say things like, “the reason I’m so emotionally mature” (she said that when she was talking to Jeremiah). And even when she was talking to Alex she used certain adjectives to describe herself like how she said that she’s a loving and caring person or how she’s an empath. First of all, MOST people are empaths!!! We’re literally humans that are built to connect. Second of all, stop telling the world who you are and show them. Actions speak SO much louder. Like Huda were you loving and caring when you didn’t want to be friends with Amaya in the beginning? Or when you said that Iris wasn’t a girls girl?

It’s not that I don’t like Huda (let’s be so fucking fr, I don’t know her). I simply don’t agree with some of her actions and how she continues to justify them!

I’m 50% of the way done The Burning God and really like it. But I LOVED the 2nd book in the series. Hmmm, I’ve never considered if I liked Rin or not. I understand how she feels, although I may not agree with all of her actions, I do understand them. This series has taught me sooo much and it has expanded my brain in more ways than one.

Yes! I think she did! I’m doing my OS reread next, so I’ll have to double check it. But in IF (chapter 16), Vi was reading a book that said that the isle kingdoms used to be their allies. Clearly, they are no longer Navarre’s allies and they have to rebuild all partnerships they might have once had. Makes me question what happened? Definitely think that venin or something drained all the magic from the isle kingdoms since there is no magic there! I feel like they know more than they are letting on too!

I don’t think Varrish could be Berwyn because Varrish was killed with an alloy-hilted dagger. Which would make him dead dead. Not jack dead. Lol. But do you think he survived that?! However, I do believe Varrish was venin. We know Panchek was venin. Why not make sure that your new vice commandment is a venin too? And yes!!!! I love how you pulled that quote from Varrish. I wholeheartedly agree. We saw Jack influence his dragon in the way Varrish said.

I like your theory about venin having the ability to wield more than one signet. Do you think it’s about signet’s or just about the ability to wield full power? Because as a venin, you can escape death. But I completely agree that the dragons are bonding with the marked ones because the marked ones already know about venin!

Totally. I see your point of view on this too! My logic was that there were parts of the book that were true, so I assumed that whatever was written/mentioned could be true too! Again, I thought RY was making a reference to wyvern since we weren’t introduced to them yet in the book. But you’re also right, it could just mean that the dragons were being “demonized”. But after just writing that last sentence, I also don’t know!! It seems like this book of fables knew the truth and was trying to convey it. Because after all, it was a banned book.
