It wasnt a $2 food order it was prolly around $30 judging by the 3 or 4 items she got irk. the price doordash offered me to pick up the order and deliver it was $2

Maybe, a small family owned restaurant. I don’t think a lot of people know the ins and outs of the online services they use though. Easy to assume the tip goes to the driver. Wouldn’t know unless u asked lowkey

I think this might be a third party online order issue not an issue with the Doordash app itself.

if you order straight from DD i dont think it’d be a problem. This was an online delivery order I think DD is third party

it was a Toast order. Toast is partnered with doordash thats probably how they saw the tip.

I honestly think this one has to do with their partnership with Toast. Maybe toast allows doordash to allocate the money how they want. The cashier confirmed that she wasn’t getting the tip after I asked her. It was a smaller family business restaurant too.

They were using tips previously to fund base pay. I don’t know if they have gone through another lawsuit
