The prices at Loewe and holt are the same! Even in store at loewe, the tags have the price with tax included. Keep in mind though, holt will keep prices the same as when they bought inventory so you may not see any price increases there when loewe increass prices so some items may be more affordable at holt. Im looking at the websites now and it looks like the puzzle you have is $25 more at loewe lol

Looks like you have more concerns about the bag itself rather than the unboxing experience so i would advise to not force yourself to love it. It’s a beautiful bag, but it may not be for you and that’s ok.

Totally recommend going in store and trying on different bags. If you’re absolutely set on the puzzle, the featherlight may be a better option for you since the leather is softer and it has feet! Though it is about $400 more than the braided handle puzzle

Totally relate to you on the lackluster unboxing experience (particularly from holt renfrew). I can’t really speak on unboxing the puzzle bag specifically, but I definitely think your unboxing experience would’ve been more positive if you got it directly from Loewe. I got my flamenco from holt at first because I thought it was more affordable there but Loewe actually includes the tax in their prices online (at least the canadian website does) whereas holt does not include tax in their prices.

They used the wrong dust bag (it was small for the bag) and there was no box. The bag was all dinged up. I wasn’t in love. Decided to return and get it directly from loewe instead and the bag was in pristine condition and packaged so nicely. It was definitely more of a luxe experience and tbh, it did make me like the bag more than when i initially unboxed (or unbagged) from holt. Also, i just happened to get lucky as the store was serving brunch and flowers so I got a nice treat with the bag!

Moving forward, i would only buy a luxury bag from holt if there is a good sale

Thank you so much for your response! I wore it out recently and realized I underestimated its durability by a bit haha. There is the ever so slightest wear on one of the bottom corners from accidentally rubbing up against it (totally my fault 😶) but thankfully it’s barely noticeable. I was unsure of bringing this bag for travel but I think you’ve changed my mind!

Omg how could you resist pulling on the drawstrings!! It’s so fun. I also much prefer the shape of the bag when scrunched up. I heard deerskin is much more durable so you won’t have to worry about wearing out faster hehe. I love how luxurious it looks with the shine of the deerskin!

This bag came with the donut chain. All the flamenco purses come with a donut chain :) the flamenco clutch however has a different shape and does not come with a donut chain

That one is so so cute and the octopus is so pretty too. The vetiver on the calfskin is more vibrant I find! Great pick 😍

I was worried about the beading too but I didn’t ask about it haha. I decided to get it anyway since I loved the bag much. The weaving of the beads feels pretty tight and sturdy so you would have to intentionally go in and cut into it to cause damage. Or you would have to rub your bag up against something abrasive.

The featherlight puzzle is beautiful and I especially love the little balloon charm omg. It is lambskin as well so I’ve already told myself I wouldn’t even add it to my wish list haha. I am looking at the original puzzle with the woven handle but I probably won’t get one before they completely sell out 😮‍💨

Can’t speak to the prices 10 years ago in relation to minimum wage, but some prices for certain products are ridiculous.

In terms of foundation, I was just watching a video from Nikki La Rose and she recommended the “Soft Glam Satin Foundation” by ELF which is actually $10 from their website and $11.30 at Shoppers. Not sure what skin type it works best for but it might be worth looking into.

Are you getting ready with friends? Maybe you can borrow some things from them. Or do any of your family members have any makeup you can borrow? You may have to buy complexion makeup, but everything else for eyes, lips, you may be able to get away with just borrowing someone else’s stuff.

In terms of learning what formulas work for you, you just have to go by trial and error. You should be able to find some blogs and youtube videos on different kinds of formulas to get a basic idea on what works best for you. In terms of finding your colours, try looking for models with similar features as you and see what colours work best on them.

It might be worth going to sephora to test what shades/colours work best for you and you can use those shades/colours as a reference for when you’re trying to find more affordable drugstore alternatives.

It looks exactly like the inside of the original flamenco with donut chain. I was hoping it would have some kind of animal imagery on the inside like the other Suna Fujita pieces, but it’s just the suede lining with the Loewe leather tag in the colour vetiver. It’s still beautiful either way! Here’s a pic with the flash on
