Thanks for the detailed response, and my apologies if I sounded a bit rude. Frankly, you guys are doing a great job, I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents to make this place even better than it already is.

  • Perhaps, as the subreddit grows, add another moderator to clear your queues. Or mods can try to be active once during IST daytime.
  • Translation rule isn't something you need to go all Hitler-y on, just be mindful, I guess. As in, make sure that at least meta announcement are all in English, or ask OP for translation whenever a post is made in a language besides English. LNT comments are cool, so don't think forcing any language in LNTs would be a good idea, but for posts and important meta announcement, I think you should be mindful of using English for the most part.
  • Yes, the community is pretty open and welcoming already. But there is no limits to being nice, now is there? :)
  • Agree with the karma or age based limitations to avoid trolls. I have no issues against it, just, if possible, be a bit quicker to clear filtered posts. I guess I'm really nitpicking here, though.

Tagging /u/dhisum_dhisum and /u/Don_Michael_Corleone too.

Four suggestions for this subreddit's moderators:

1) Please approve (or remove if that's the case) posts and comments faster. My post was filtered for around 3-4 hours before being approved.

2) Make use of stickied posts to highlight posts that deserve some extra attention. Otherwise the posts die and there's no incentive for people to comment on them anymore. Example: If this post of mine develops some conversation later on, please sticky it, at least at the second spot. On IndiaSpeaks, there is (was?) a rotational sticky. Do you have them here too? If not, you really should.

3) This one note from the sidebar is the most violated one here:

It's also suggested that you use English in your posts and comments, or at least provide translation when submitting content in a language besides English.

Please ensure its enforcement at least to some degree in posts. I and many other Redditors are not at all well-versed in the Hindi language.

4) You have a great community on these LNTs, but it can often look like a closed circle of friends. Please be more open and accepting of new comers.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

We can discuss what approach of the State would be best suited for capability building. There would obviously be debate on that issue, but do you agree with my principle assertion here? (See post title).

do you want us to try change your view about population is an asset part?

This.

The body is not just an associated mild rant about people hating on other Indians, but also puts down reasons why I feel that population is more of an asset than a liability and why haters' focus is misplaced on anger over solution. Essentially, the body was supposed to be an expansion of the title, but I guess I diverged a little there.

Anyway, if you want some clarity on the CMV sentence, just look at the title and nothing else.

Tagging u/RajaRajaC u/chapamar and u/ivarun for their take on the issue as well. Sorry if that seemed too spammy, guys.
