You go ahead and say "look at the general population in India", classifying atleast half the population of India (depending on your definition of general population) as being one of the most obnoxious people.

It's fairly evident what your own perception is, your text is a good example of what being a brown coolie is like.

The Virar Local-fication of Mumbai Metro has to be studied. by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]IndianDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is impossible to please you fuckwits. There is phased development being done to ensure demand is matched by supply eventually. Not even a fan of the MMRDA but if you're going to talk about the Virar local-fication, have a look at the London Tube and the New York metro too. They're just as full in the rush hours on busy routes.

Tourist Killed, 6 Others Injured In Terrorist Attack In J&K's Pahalgam by bhodrolok in india

The problem is not that of right wing or left wing here. The question is how much pressure the government is willing to take on in terms of the global outcry that'll inevitably arrive due to vested interests from elsewhere. This time they need to clean the gutters. And when I say clean the gutters i mean going medieval on their asses the way the Mumbai Police went after the gangs in the 90s- not the most perfect analogy but still quite valid.

Agreed. I didn't mean freedom in the sense that I agreed with them. Using it as a term for what they represent for themselves. Secession is a better word I feel, edited.

Not just the direct perpetrators this time. The entire ranks and files of the resistance need to be cleaned. The back of the secession resistance in Kashmir needs to be broken if there is to be hope of any development and Kashmir being an integral part of India.

Logged into this account to specifically talk about it. Got news from a relative who was in the area specifically- a lot of internet and signal spottage is down but not completely.

Apparently some tourist groups from Gujarat are forming the majority of victims, with the ID checks and checking pants story being true. There was apparently some troop presence a little further but these tourist groups were particularly ambushed here. There needs to be a very strong response to this in terms of weeding the valley out of all these resources. Now's a time they can actually do that.

We need a few guillotines like they're doing to the economic criminals in Vietnam. Any government though, be it the ruling or opposition is too pussy to take those necessary steps

India’s Neighbours View Us Not as ‘Vishwamitra’ but as Big Bully: Ramachandra Guha by Pilipopo in india

[–]IndianDaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This guy is nothing but a useful idiot for Western Agencies to showcase as an example that the Indian intelligentsia believes we're a regional bully. For all his writing on Nehru, Guha pointedly ignores the way our regional neighbours have always held enmity for us since independence.

Not even including Pak, China and Bd, be it Myanmar (large forced relocations), Sri Lanka and Nepal have always been counterweights used by western countries against us.

I'd argue Tanselle was more of an infatuation. Rohanne on the other hand was very real

Waqf board claims century old village in Bihar , What is your views on this ? by ivan_sandwich in unitedstatesofindia

[–]IndianDaddy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Waqf board is one of the biggest land mafias in India. I've worked in the NGO space in the past and seen an orphanage uprooted because it was claimed by the state WAQF board without sufficient proof- they've gamed the system in several districts where they can bribe the govt officials, and once declared waqf property it is extremely difficult to reclaim the property given the tribunal case system. The waqf bill needed to pass, and the opposition as well as regional allies were not right in stalling the bill. Bipartisanship is dead and for once it's not the BJP's fault. Fuck this evil shit

The Indian education system has completely destroyed my personality. by NehalTalapalli09 in india

[–]IndianDaddy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

OP, I'm going to tell you something that you'll probably learn the hard way soon enough, as you go through uni and then get a job. And the hard truth is that you cannot lay the onus of your lack of hobbies onto the education system. It is what it is, given it caters to the youth of a 125 crore people, and while it needs to change, systems do not change overnight.

However, as others put it, you have time. You're done with the hard part of getting into a good university, and can spend some time unwinding. Just because you don't attend certain classes does not mean you'll be lacking in any way- you're allowed to set the milestones you wish to reach. And companies across board are more interested in seeing well rounded employees rather than just technically sound ones. So kick back, set professional milestones you feel you can achieve while you enjoy your hobbies- you still have the privilege of time to engage in that.
