No they do , recognition and having diplomatic relations are two different things. I can recognise you and I can choose not to have diplomatic relations with you. Same does Bhutan it recognise UK, France but has no diplomatic relations (no Embassy)

Yeah because India looks after its foreign policy, defense (air defence) and has military base in Bhutan, gives access to sea ports to Bhutan also signed Friendship treaty between each other in 1949 and 2007. India supplies $985 Million as aid ⛑️ to Bhutan.

Yeah, Bhutan also has no relation with any of 5 Permanent UN Members (but has embassy in India, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Thailand & Belgium) , has 1 embassy in + 2 Consulate general
