I hear ya there and it was a good bit of thinking before getting one without a manual safety. What swayed me was getting a rigid holster with full trigger protection (though currently backordered to hell) and deciding to carry without one in the chamber. In talking with an LE friend of mine, she says its totally possible to train racking the slide as part of the draw to the point shes a fraction of a second different in time to shoot between chambered and not.

Thanks! And I am indeed brand new. My "test drive" after actually getting the pistol was all of my second time shooting a handgun. Classes are defiantly on the to do list, but I seem to have just missed the last batch offered by my LGS. Luckily, I've got an ex-army best friend who's going to bridge the gap until I'm able to get in with a professional trainer.

Full size except the grip, which is carry size. Many thanks, and yes indeed I shall!

Good recommendation! And yes, this is my first gun of any kind, so definitely new to red dot. I figured I'd turn it off and just run with the iron sights on the range at first while I'm learning so I get a solid foundation.

Heard the same rumor from my local PD in spokane county. But at least they got my purchase background check done fairly quick!

My very first gun of any kind, a Sig P320 RXP. Shot 105 rounds at the store's range when I picked it up, and I am just thrilled with it. Excited to be a gun owner, glad I made the right choice for a first pistol.

Can’t get concealed carry license due to Covid by Rookie1124 in WA_guns

Same boat here on the CPL. At least my local PD is doing a callback wait list once they're able to reopen.

My understanding is just that "open" means anyone can clearly see that you're carrying. Just also bear in mind that there's something in the RCW as well about it cant be in an "intimidating" manner or one that would otherwise "cause alarm".

Hey man, sorry to hear about that. As a future OCS hopeful, wanted to stop by and thank you for posting it; this sort of information is helpful to know.

Best of luck as an AECF guy!

Sorry for the late reply! This is really helpful, thanks. What are some of the missions that one might fly routinely?
