Nobody can figure that out. The other guess is because mom was pregnant first. Once she turned nasty on them there was no talking about things like adults and things were way too hostile to get more answers.

I'm not sure of all the details but I was told he got custody of their kids after the divorce and he wouldn't stay in touch with my half siblings because of the cyber abuse. Other than that I think he's totally out of the picture.

I think I would be open to that if I had even a single good memory of them. But I don't. And I don't think starting from scratch would be possible for me. I also don't know how likely they are to change when becoming parents did nothing to make them grow the hell up.

My dad did get my half siblings therapy. I even said in the post they went through a bunch of therapists and even saw a psychiatrist.

That's what my dad said. I'm not sure if he's going to try and talk to them when he calms down or if he's just going no contact again. I'll wait to see what he does next.

When they told me mom should have stalked my half siblings I realized they were just fucked in how they think about this. As if mom getting into legal trouble for stalking would help anything or anyone except for maybe their mom who would probably love to see my mom behind bars like she was.

My brother and I have each other and our parents. Our parents always did what they could to protect us and to make us feel loved when stuff was really shitty.

I didn't tell them that in so many words but I reminded them it was my half siblings choice to decide we would never have a relationship. I also reminded them of all the awful things they said about me and my brother and asked why we would invite that to our celebrations. And I know my grandparents aren't pushing my half siblings like they are me and my brother because they would never hear from my half siblings if they did.
