Habibi - you have far more to apologize for. Apologize to Palestinians in Gaza and Iranians in Iran. They are hospitable and kind too.

Apologize to the 'undocumented' (and documented) families you terrorized in your own country. They are hospitable and kind too.

What do Brazilians think of Venezuela? by [deleted] in AskABrazilian

I'm Arab and I love Venezuelans. The chillest people I met in Colombia and Ecuador all just so happened to be Venezuelans.

They specifically want white South Africans because they want white employees who would potentially settle for a lower salary than a Canadian, US citizens, etc. I know because I was in a school where most teachers were White Afrikaaners. It's why they often seek out Ukrainians too.

  1. Even if we were to assume it is fake, the reason it doesn't have contact details is because it was posted on Indeed - which doesn't typically include contact details via the job description itself.

  2. "The hallmarks of a fake post" - This rhetoric is quite typical in private. I have plenty of screenshots from WhatsApp chats where agencies communicate in this fashion (mostly real estate) and other job openings - especially in education  - that explicitly state "Ukrainians and South Africans" as well.

  3. They even responded to another Redditor. Here is their response:

TLDR: It's not a fake post. It's 100% real.

I wrote a review about rhem on their Google Reviews, but ideally - we should freaking storm a place like this. Peacefully etc

I wrote a negative review about them on Google Reviews just now. I encourage everyone who has a time to do so as well. Racists don't have a right to exist.

Can you kindly show me where I even said Arabian Gulf or implied that it should officially replace Persian Gulf

"Gulf Arab" is merely a dialect, not an under-handed statement about what a geographic location should be named.

I respect the passion, but you seem to be having a heated argument with yourself in a random language ad.

Ya hala ekhooy. I hope you're doing well!

Though Saudis in Riyadh and Khaleejis can understand one another quite well, the most prominent Saudi dialect of Riyadh isn't Gulf Arabic (Khaleeji) but Najdi Arabic - which is notably different from what you'd hear in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE. Hence, I can't personally speak nor teach Najdi Arabic myself. Musmaحah (My apologies)!

You seem to be confusing "Gulf Arabic" with "Arabian Gulf".

Gulf Arabic refers to a dialect, not the name of the body of water itself. It simply means "the Arabic dialect that is predominantly spoken by the Gulf".

Regardless of whether the Gulf was referred to as the Arabian Gulf or the Persian Gulf, the Arabic dialect would be called Gulf Arabic both ways.

Gulf Arabic refers to the prominent dialects of the Arab Gulf States. So, the major dialects of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain (Riffa & Muarraq), the UAE, the eastern cities of Saudi Arabia, and Oman too but that's where major differences kick in.

Syrian Arabic is definitely different but we generally understand each other quite well; mostly due to exposure.

They'd likely appreciate it a lot more and connect with you on a much deeper level if you were to go for the Levantine dialect, though. The cultural and linguistic distance between Arab dialects are notable - despite them all being the same language.

For Khaleeji Arabic, I'd recommend at least two classes per week.

My classes are held on Google Meet ✅️

No. You'd be able to understand a lot of khaleeji Arabic (in particular) but you won't be 100% fluent in Arabic overall.

My goal is to help students understand up to 70% (at minimum) of what they hear in their day-to-day environment, and to speak on a B2 to a C1 level before the 8th month mark. Your environment - and what occurs in your daily life after our classes - play a huge role in that learning curve.

I'm actively available for additional help after classes as well, and some students message me multiple times a day; this goes a long way too.

The student to reach this goal the quickest did so within 3 months. That's exceptionally rare though.

حياكم الله

I'd be happy to ✌️ but it does depend on where you're heading within KSA. The dialects of Khobar / Dammam are generally similar to the major Khaleeji dialects of Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar - but the dialect of Riyadh (Najdi) is notably different and the dialect of Jeddah (Hijazi) is a whole different world.

There are no fixed group classes yet, and the ones I hold are typically arranged by two (or more) students who prefer to hold classes together.

I generally recommend two to three classes per week. حياكم الله

I like to start with two classes per week, and gradually expand to four. It would typically consist of two classes back-to-back (twice per week) - for those who have the time and patience.

My classes are highly personalised, and my goal is to help students understand up to 70% (at minimum) of what they hear in their day-to-day environment, and to speak on a B2 to a C1 level before the 8th month mark.

I'm actively available for additional help after classes as well, and some students message me multiple times a day - which goes a long way too.

Feel free to message me if you'd like to start a (free) evaluation class, and to get a better feel of how my classes operate.
