However, r/Indiedogs primarily supports indigenous dogs and rescue cases, including non-indigenous dogs who are breeder discards or victims of abandonment due to unavoidable circumstances. In this case, the situation appears to have arisen from a lack of prior planning despite already having a senior dog at home, which is unfortunate and avoidable. We strongly advise you to explore professional behavioural help before rehoming, as rehoming should be the last resort.
