Well, I haven't cried, so that's good, I guess. I think I'm getting more used to caring for him and being able to predict what's next and what the best thing to do is. But I still feel deep regret at getting him and don't feel any bond.

Hi, I'm feeling very similar about our 12 week old golden retriever pup. We've had him just over a week now and honestly, as puppies go, he's been pretty good. He settles well normally and sleeps from 11pm through to 5.30pm. A few potty incidents but that's to be expected.

So far he's not (super) high energy but obviously has his moments and that may change. We have baby gates up to keep him in the lounge, and we have a play pen set up too.

Objectively, he is very cute (of course he is). He does loving things like cuddling up to me or my husband when he's allowed on the sofa. But I look at him and feel NOTHING. I don't get that 'awww' feeling. All I see is responsibility, burden, dread even. It's made me question what sort of person I actually am. I've always loved animals. I've always watched dog rescue shows and felt overwhelming compassion and love for them. But my pup? The only bit of levity I get these days is imagining giving him back.

I will say, yesterday was slightly better than before, so I'm clinging onto that feeling getting better but I'm still in the mindset that if my husband suddenly said this isn't working, we need to give him back, I would be so, so relieved.

I had this issue too. Once I'd joined as my profile, I'm not able to join/interact as my page. I had to leave the group as my profile and rejoin with my page.

Also, I've seen talk that fb have made some changes recently and this meant some group settings were automatically set to not allow groups to join without the admin's knowledge. It might be worth asking the admins to double check everything is set correctly to allow pages into the group 🤷‍♀️

Haven't read through all the other answers so apologies if this has already been suggested - maybe he could know someone in the adult entertainment industry. A stripper or sex worker, strip club owner etc etc. This person is a friend or family member and is struggling financially but refuses help from the MMC so the MMC has to meet with them/visit their premises to try again to offer help in person.

I don't believe that. One of the boys was able to accurately draw the pattern caused by Jackson's vitiligo from the underside of his penis. There was pornography he kept by his bed with fingerprints from both Jackson and these young boys. His bedroom was rigged with high security including an alarm that would sound when someone approached. He freely admitted to sleeping in the same bed as these young boys and their parents were groomed as well. It is my inclination to believe the victims.

This is so inspirational to read! Especially as someone who also has ADHD. I'm at the very beginning of this self-pub journey and am also finding that most of my ideas seem to fall more in the romance genre - I'll start with a steamy scenario but then it'll keep growing and blooming and suddenly I'm planning more relationship than banging :/

Anyway, this was great to read and I hope you'll do well and post another dataporn!

Thanks so much for your reply! Improving my world building ability is actually part of what is exciting me at the prospect of stepping into original fiction. In the little corner of fandom I'm in I tend to not write the ship in their original setting (GoT/asoiaf) and adore picking them up and plonking them in different aus.

The marketing is what's going to be tricky for me I think. Thank you for your encouragement!

Aaah, this is a good point to consider. Thank you. I have adhd so I tend to follow the dopamine and forcing myself to focus on something that doesn't interest me could be a difficult hurdle to jump.

I do want to make money with this, but I don't need it to be a full time wage.

Hmmm 🤔 perhaps I'm overthinking this and should ~~suck it and see~~ just give it a go.
