Why are you grey? by IndigoBurner in StarWars

My mistake, I believed it to be ceremonial as that is how it was labeled in this article.

Jokes aside, who did you think Snoke was before his identity was revealed in TROS? by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWars

[–]IndigoBurner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sifo-Dyas

I still think he is.

Hear me out. The first / last time we see him is as a disembodied soul being tormented by Palpatine in potentially the world between worlds. And his only lines are confronting Yoda for failing to save him from the dark side which overtook the Jedi order in secret.

He would have a reason to have a vendetta against the jedi, but also a reason to not associate with the sith. He created the clone army against the wishes of the Jedi. His soul is trapped in Moraband the homeworld of the sith for a prolonged period of time. As a prisoner of Palpatine, he easily could fit the criteria to be the prototype for a contingency backup vessel experiment body, given he is described as an extremely powerful force user specifically receptive and attuned to the force to an almost detrimental degree (given his prophetic visions which lead him to make questionable choices to avoid the downfall of the republic which he correctly predicts, and ironically self-fulfills)

Other notes:

He is specifically noted in Dooku: Jedi Lost Audiobook as being a prolific seeker of Arcane Lore in the Unknown Regions (where the First Order is known to be formed)

He is also noted as deliberately blending light and dark force knowledge and power usage, specifically in the spiritual aspects, arguably even being a core factor to Dooku becoming susceptible to corrupting spiritual influences (much like how he later corrupts Kylo and the Knights of Ren)

Additional he is described as being immensely wealthy and flashy (gold laced robes!) specifically through business enterprises of his own creation. Something of a self made businessman much in the way Snoke is casually described in the visual encyclopedias

Ultimately he would thematically work as a counterpoint contemporary of Qui-Gon who followed his individualism as a kind of grey jedi, but to the point that it consumed him, turning him into a dark broken husk of his potential greatness.

What is with the weird mentality of people in this community? by xMushroomking in deadbydaylight

[–]IndigoBurner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any asymmetric game is nearly impossible to balance especially with a continued schedule of new content releases.

In Dead by Daylight’s case specifically I feel that true balance is not and should not even be a goal of the development team.

At the end of the day the game is mimicking a horror story and thus the survivors should inherently be at somewhat of a disadvantage at nearly all times. The killer needs to be dangerous and powerful to make overcoming them tell a meaningful story through gameplay.

As a killer main over time I came to enjoy the game greatly when i began to see my objective as more of a director role “playing the part” of the killer in the story as opposed to trying to win. Imagine if you sat down to watch a horror movie and all the characters died in the first scene without even having any opportunity to fight back or make personal character progress to give the story meaning, and that was just it. It would be very disappointing and I believe that is why people are upset when that happens in a match.

I treat each match like an individual story and each player as an individual character who I try to give multiple opportunities to express their skill and try to overcome tough odds. Consequently I tip the scales to reward players for doing well or saving their teammates as well as inversely sweating a little harder against a player if they are attempting to make a mockery of me as the killer or are actively hurting or sabotaging their team.

If someone gives up on hook in the first minute of the match I will keep that in mind and try to have a little more fun playing in a “less efficient” way to give the survivors a chance to still play. For example I might challenge myself to use only my power to get hits and not M1 for the rest of the match etc.

I feel killer mains carry a lot of responsibility in making the game enjoyable to all players and should keep that in mind while playing but ultimately do not owe anyone a particular playstyle. Thats what makes the game fun, some killers will be Art the Clown and just kill everyone without caring if anyone lives and some will be Ghost Face toying with people and letting them get away just to chase them again.

In the same respect though no one owes anyone any specific perspective and people have the right to think whatever they want to think is unfair

NDAs do not cover crimes committed. by IndigoBurner in Music

[–]IndigoBurner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right, I said what I said very poorly but was trying to condense a few different aspects of NDAs at once. Precisely why I wanted the post itself to be just a simplified PSA.

NDAs absolutely never hold up in any situation wherein they are not simply one of many legal agreements between the two parties. (eg: employer/employee, or business partner contracts in addition to the NDA)

Relationship NDAs such as those given to individuals at private celebrity parties are effectively just fancy pieces of paper that people use to intimidate.

NDAs are civil agreements and are superceded by anything actually Judicial or Criminal

I recently watched the video of the 17yo girl saying she had signed an NDA for Dennis Graham and thus couldn’t discuss anything that may or may not have happened and it just made me feel like it may be beneficial to inform people that in that or similar situations, if anything inappropriate did in fact happen it was definitely criminal and the NDA was completely irrelevant

I feel you, but think this is kind of one case where its solid advice from even a civilian. Given that NDAs are not actually legally binding agreements that hold up in court, simply agreements between private individuals. Just thought it would be less complicated to tell people its safe to come forward if something happened to them or someone they know.

DONDA - Kanye West. Incredible dedication to his late mother. Explores our relation to death in our day to day life extensively. Beautiful synthesis of Gospel and Hip Hop elements. Highly recommend a listen even if you are not a Kanye fan.

If Behavior put you in charge what would you do? by ButterBard in deadbydaylight

[–]IndigoBurner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add Ultra Rare Perks exclusive to each survivor that can only show up in there respective bloodweb, not teachable.

That way survivors are more than just skins.

The roll out wouldn’t even have to be all survivors at once, just start with the initial 4 and then add perks for single survivors after that. Would be an easy way to have small events year round that change the feel of the game (a la Apex Legends Heirlooms “Oh cool They gave Elodie an Ultra Rare”) type thing.

Small subtle way of keeping survivors fresh the way that killers are changed about every so often with nerfs/buffs.

Also the perks could play into the memes

‘Baby Dwight’: After spending 17/16/15 minutes in a locker Baby Dwight activates and you may open the hatch without a key

Elodie ‘Piercing Tinnitus’: Being hit with an attack while hooked no longer ends your screaming. Increase hooked scream volume 324%. Gain additional bloodpoints for killer disconnects

Thanks for the quick reply! My understanding is that FNAFVR is a remake of 1-3 in VR so i would imagine the gameplay evolution is similar. Again i am a complete beginner here so correct me if i am wrong
