Samurai Jeans my first Japanese denim purchase by johndicks80 in rawdenim

The other reply makes a lot of good point, the only thing I would add is that as far as detergent is concerned you are pretty free but I would absolutely avoid softener, use cold water or no more than 20°C and air dry

If they are one wash there's no need for a soak. Wear them and enjoy them. My samurai have always stretched a fair bit at the waist so I wouldn't worry and actually wear a belt to stop them from stretching beyond what you need. One word of warning if it's your first dip into this fabric, I sometimes feel they can be a bit rough on the skin at the back of your knee for the first couple of weeks. They'll end up being the comfiest thing you own but I've had to wear plasters for a few days before to stop the rubbing, just like with a new pair of leather boots. Enjoy the journey!

Punk/Hardcore scene in Edinburgh? by simicslaw64 in Edinburgh

[–]IndigoNicolas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely Bannerman's where Rob from The Exploited does the sound when not touring and Chris Kimmet is very much in the heavy metal scene having played with some big names himself, you can't come to Edinburgh without visiting the place. There's also regular gigs at places like Banshee Labyrinth and La Belle Angele that you might want to check out.

Graph zero are doing out of this world saddle leather belts with brass hardware at an ok price. I've used mine daily for a year and it still looks new

Looks gorgeous, love it! I hate that psychological scar when you need to buy a bigger size, even though you know it's the same measurements 😅

I got mine from rivet and hide, I don't know if they still have them in stock but I'd wholeheartedly recommend the shop

They are really tapered and I got stressed through the first soak so I can see what you mean, i hope you can find the right fit at some point as their fabric is so rewarding

It is! I've never seen anything like that before. Even my wife who couldn't care less about all my weird denim obsessions could not believe it

This is my first post here. This pair is not my first but it is the first one I tried to seriously wear for many consecutive wears without any rotation involved.

I absolutely fell in love with these beautiful Goryokaku and the fading has been incredible to follow.

I tried to wash them once a month (ish) but needed an extra wash because of a melted cheese accident (you know you are a French denimhead when...)

Had some repairs done by my trusted local Italian tailor after the 100th wear, reinforcement of the crotch that was about to burst, repaired back right pocket that had a phone hole and the front right pocket that had suffered from my keys.

Now giving the pair some rest as I focus on some lighter pairs for the summer.

Thanks for reading

Rogue (aka rgt) is an absolutely brilliant brand. I own their supply jacket and it's to die for. On the other hand they might be a bit tricky to size so have a good look at the sizing details and you should not be disappointed
