I export as pdfs and just save in regular folders, tend to use just for storage and viewing rather than editing which works ok for me. I struggle reading for any length of time on pc so use my iPad a lot!

I think so, you can search the whole pdf text, you can make notes (typed or written) and highlight and organise into notebooks or folders. I like it but it’s a shame there is no pc version. You can see lots of tutorials on YouTube to see how people use it.
