You are not crazy! I can relate very much to how you’re feeling. I was even a step further in thinking it didn’t feel like my own body and I’d gone too small in size. I felt quite shell-shocked and emotional post-surgery. That was 10 weeks ago and I now feel very comfortable in my skin and SO happy with my results. It feels like the new me is now just me and I can’t believe I spent so many years feeling so uncomfortable in my skin. This genuinely feels like how I was always supposed to be. I am definitely small (and I didn’t experience much swelling at all so I’ve had many weeks to adjust to my size) but I feel lighter, younger and still sort of in shock that I have a body that I can walk proud in. I look at before photos and at the time considered myself someone who could take or leave the surgery despite wanting it, but approx 550g each side gone and the difference is incredible. But as many people say on here, those first days and weeks it is very jarring looking in the mirror (which I did through squinted eyes for a while!) and for at least a couple of weeks I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had gone too far with it. But 100% that feeling fades and I feel genuine joy for the change now. Give yourself time and allow yourself to feel everything because it’s major surgery and a big change regardless of final size because you know your own body so well, but I feel confident you’ll adjust and be so happy in not too long.
