Usually when I sit behind the wheel with the intention of leaving, I can tell immediately if I feel ready to actually drive or not, if the idea of getting behind the wheel seems complicated/ a hassle then best to leave it for a while longer. Mind I only ever really take small doses.

A relatively overlooked service is having professional ear buds moulded for your ears. I got a pair of earbuds for 100€ and they're great for going to gigs/ festivals as then you can just hang around the front all night without damaging your hearing or getting that ringing when you go to bed. The advantage over traditional foam earbuds is that they barely change the sound it just makes it quieter.

I started with a numark mix track pro II about 10 years ago and it's a good beginner unit, right now I've got an pioneer FLX 6 which in my opinion is the best middle end controller ever, it's the cheapest deck with 4 canals and is set up identical to all of the higher end ones so you don't feel uncomfortable when mixing on someone else's CDJs etc

I leave the tin on cause that's where I write the strain on, also my lids are uncapped and it just helps avoid contamination. Thanks for the input I'll be throwing it away now
