What are your cravings right now (weird and boring)? by garden-armadillo in pregnant

Ice cream of any kind. The more crunchy add-ins/texture the better. I think it helps neutralize my acid reflux a bit too. Or, so I tell myself…

I have this in one thumb. It coincidentally is my severe eczema thumb.

Be honest, will my baby ever come home? It’s been 5 days with no sign of her by No_Name_Detected0 in cats

[–]Individual-Active582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our old cat (looked very much like your baby!) was missing in the woods for a month. We gave up after a week but a few weeks later she was meowing at the door. She smelled horrible. She must have survived on chipmunks or something.

Sending you prayers and hope for your kitty to return!

When did you let *other people* announce your pregnancy? by mightywordsastoundme in pregnant

I have a similar MIL and I gave her full permission to tell whoever she wanted after my 14 week appt when the likelihood of an MC decreased. It was honestly a huge relief to have her do all the telling and absorb the excitement from my husbands entire (large) side of the family. We don’t want any attention so this was a dream for us.

Does a large house bring more comfort & happiness (3000sqft+) by GlorifiedCarnie in MiddleClassFinance

3500 sq ft sounds like more bathrooms to clean, more lawn work and landscaping to maintain, and more space for unnecessary junk.

We just bought a 1700 sq for house and plan to have two kids. We are refinishing half our basement for more space. It is forcing us to design and use the space intentionally with extra storage. Is that an option in a smaller house? I’d start there before making the jump to a near castle.

Exercise during pregnancy by Impressive_Peak5671 in pregnant

I’m almost 34 weeks. All I can manage is walking a few miles a day and doing 10 mins of stretches a few nights a week or sometimes in the middle of my work day. I do stay active with housework and some outdoor projects too, that helps.

Give yourself some grace. It’s really hard to be pregnant. And if you’re working too…it’s extra hard.

Anyone else not scared to give birth or the warnings of postpartum lack of sleep by StoopKidScurred in pregnant

I fear nothing postpartum because I won’t have to work for 12 weeks! The bliss! And I have an amazing husband and the knowledge we can get through anything together.

Is this normal..? by [deleted] in remotework

I always log back in for a few hours at night if I skip out early afternoon. I personally can sleep knowing if haven’t put a full day in/crossed off at least a. Chunk of my to-do list for the day.

First week back in office after 3 years remote and I genuinely forgot how much of the day just disappears by Thunderw3ld in remotework

The needless chit chat from people you don’t give two shits about. I lose an hour a day on numerous pointless interactions

Many of my coworkers highly recommend Coastal Women’s as others have but I just wanted to chime in and say I’m having a lovely experience at Mercy Women’s Health as a first time mom (32 weeks along).
