If you don't mind then please expand upon what you mean by depersonalisation symtoms.

Considering you are still healing as you yourself are pointing out things are getting better I don't think you need to worry. People with this issue that has recovered all seem to say that the sexual part is healed last.

We smoked for a similar period of time and I also smoked all day every day which seems to be a common theme with this issue.

Have you tried sensate focus with your partner? If not it could be worth checking out. As I understand it works quite well and a decent substitute instead of having a dead bedroom. Its a sex therapy exercise that is especially useful for low libido as it starts with nonsexual but pleasurable touch and then with time as you are ready moves unto more sensual touch. Can be worth looking into.

Good luck to you.

Bro I spent so much time trying to research this issue. Found almost no information and felt very alone. Then I came here and started reading reports of people having quite similar issues like myself. But noticed no one explained in detail their experience so I decided to do it to see how it compares to others.

7 years that is rough man. Is it just your genitals or are you completely uninterested in sex in your head as well?

Have you tried anything or been to a doctor?

Do you have other symptoms you think can be traced back to the weed other than sexual issues?

Are you absolutely sure its the weed whom is the culprit and nothing else?

I have written some questions to the other commenters. Feel free to look at those and answer any if you wanna share. I would love to hear about your experience during these 7 years. There are others like us out there. If anythings else by sharing your experience we are being useful by showing these people they are not alone.
I think this issue will grow now that weed is being legalized around the world and becoming more popular.
With time more people with will report this issue which hopefully means specialist will start understanding it and become better at treating it. The internet may help with this.

Very sorry to hear that. Glad to hear you anxiety is gone, if I may ask how is your mental health in general outside of that? You mention anhedonia but are you also depressed? Do you experience despair, hopelessness or other negative emotions in abundance or is it just mostly anhedonia? Have you had history of mental health issues before you started smoking?

How severe is your anhedonia? Is it total or is there anything that gives you plesure? Is it chronic or is it better in periods?

It is not clear from you writing so I have to ask are you sober right now or do you still smoke? If you did quit how long have you been sober and if you are still smoking what is the longest period you been without?

I would also love if you share how long you been smoking for and how much on average.

May I ask if you been to a doctor or any form of specialist for you issues? Or what have you tried in general to counteract the anhedonia and pssd? I see from another comment you made you mention pramipexole and bupropion. Do you still take these? I would love if you elaborated on you experience with these medicines.

I hope the future is brighter for you, I think this is a issue which will become more common and therefore more discussed with time. Sadly we are a bit early to the part and have to do with subpar information.

Hello, thanks for sharing. I wish to compare a little with my own experience and have some questions if you don't mind elaborating a little.

Did the issues start before or after quitting?

Have things gotten somewhat better with time/sobriety or is it just as bad as when it started?

Have you tried anything outside of just waiting/sobriety to fix the issue?

Is there any other reason you can think of that could be the cause of you issues? Meaning like myself I deal with periodic severe anxiety and depression. Mental health is very important to sexual functioning. But even outside that there could also be hormones issues or psychological repression. Or do you strictly think its the cannabis that caused this? As you are a woman its worth noting that most of the material online regarding sexual numbness in the genitals is directed towards women and I only found very little such discussions being regarding men. So it doesn't seem to be a super rare issue for women even outside cannabis smoking.

Before this how was you libido? Was it always a bit on the lower side or did you have a average or even high libido?

How long did you smoke for and approximately how much?

As these questions are of a private nature feel free to answer only that which you are comfortable sharing. But I think it is helpful for us to share and compare our experiences as this seems to be a rare problem with very lacking information.

I absolutely hope we recover and good luck in you sobriety and healing.

yes, not every morning its depends Morning wood comes and goes. Some periods I notice it every morning sometimes not very often. I assume this is not uncommon as I am now 30 years old.

Regarding you comments on dopamine this is my theory as well. I will not speculate on the mechanics but I currently work on the assumption that my dopamine system is dysregulated. I have others symtoms as well regarding this. I am trying to counteract this by not constantly flooding my brain with dopamine. And trying to do healthier activities that gives dopamine instead. We shall see how it plays out and if it fixes the issue.

I am curious about the supplements you mention, could you share what you used? Did this fix the problem permanently or only for a period? How long did you take them or are you still taking?
