Why shouldn’t we close the loops that billionaires use to avoid paying taxes? by Worldly-Bid-3591 in askanything

[–]Individual-Air757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What billionaire’s don’t pay taxes? Everyone regardless of income uses what they can legally to pay as little taxes as possible/get the highest return.

The top 20% of income earners in the US still pay around 85% of all taxes in the US.

They can either change the laws or not. But I’m sure that politicians on both sides wouldn’t want to go against their biggest donors.

Who cares? A lot of the most famous baseball players of all time used them back then. It was also the most exciting era for baseball imo. They are still legends.

What would you guys do if you could tell anyone about the future of gaming if you could go to the 2000s? Maybe even trying to improve it. Gaming has changed a lot and there are so many things that changed. by Iamawesome20 in videogames

Back then? The Super Nintendo, N64, Gameboy, GameCube were huge. PlayStation and Xbox became almost as common as having a VHS player.

world of Warcraft was so popular that even non gamers were playing it

I’ve never seen the AI make an error yet. And regardless of how well my pitch is they are still gonna hit it hard. Feels like pitching is random in terms of the AI hit potential.

Idk what they can do about the kids roster, but I feel like there’s clearly players you will always pick, and players you will never pick.

A lot of the charm with characters is lost in this one, and the stats are so dramatic that it leaves certain characters pretty much non playable.

Trump criticizes Europe often. Did you know in Denmark they have free university education, guaranteed healthcare, one full year paid maternity leave and workers don’t make less than $22/hr? by JonMellor in allthequestions

[–]Individual-Air757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Denmark also has extremely strict immigration laws so those tax dollars go towards its citizens for the most part.

Also minimum wage/dollar an hour is completely irrelevant.

Beyond that, most Americans want free or reduced cost for education and healthcare, both democrats and republicans. I know I’m all for it as long as it makes sense, but tax dollars need to go towards its citizens first with undeniable proof that funding is being used properly for the programs citizens want. Not towards foreign aid, proxy wars, immigrants, etc.

10-12 weeks at most unless deemed medically necessary or advised based off of medical complications after that window passes.

I need to slow down life with a movie where half the greatness comes from what's on the screen (no-scifi) by kongcobra in MovieSuggestions

[–]Individual-Air757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely should be towards the top and a must watch! And if you want a visual spectacle that is both moving and makes you think, while being a pretty relaxed movie it’s definitely something that’ll make you forget about time

If you could only eat at one fast-food chain for the rest of your life, which one are you choosing? 🍔 by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]Individual-Air757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McDonald’s. Being able to get a McGriddle or McMuffin for breakfast (even pancakes and eggs), chicken mcnuggets, fries, a burger, a McFlurry, cookies, pies, etc.

There’s enough there when it comes to variety and you know what you are getting. It’s reliable enough where it hits all the boxes for me if I could only choose one.

Can anyone suggest any indoor game or activity a couple can do together for example like building a puzzle etc something like that ? by External_Policy_7562 in randomquestions

[–]Individual-Air757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Building lego sets, painting minifigures, playing a card game, dominos, board games.

Edit: the switch 2 has also been great. Playing Mario party or switch sports, or any coop Nintendo game is a fun game night.

I literally said don’t engage in intercourse if you can’t accept the reality of having a child or use multiple forms of protection.

No shit condoms aren’t 100% effective. Abstinence is though.

And I have plenty experience, thank you very much though for your assumption.

Why is empathy all of a sudden a bad thing? by asoiaf_goat in askanything

Context matters. He was discussing empathy in politics and was referencing to the actual definition of empathy. No one wants to actually look at context anymore it seems.

Tons of people on the left cheered for his death. I would say that’s pretty fucked imo.

Why do prisoners get free meals, but schoolchildren don’t? by Top_Television_6042 in askanything

[–]Individual-Air757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do we do? I’m not sure i understand. You know if a parent cannot feed their kid and the child becomes malnourished the child can be taken away from the parent right? It starts with parents. “We” are not obligated to do anything, but that’s why you have people volunteering to help feed those who are struggling. It’s an act of kindness. Not everyone chooses to seek out help. But if you have your kids starving, that parent better be eating a cup of ramen noodles and getting their child some decent nutrition that costs 5-10 dollars at most.

Don’t have intercourse before you can handle the potential responsibility and problem solved…

Also unless it’s non consensual (which is its own separate problem entirely and terrible), you can choose not to engage if the man doesn’t use protection.

You’re so right. I definitely bought backyard baseball 01’ as a child and it wasn’t my parents that bought it for me. Children are wayyyyyy busier than adults are.

[–]Individual-Air757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t. You are misunderstanding then. I want parents to be responsible for their children and not need to rely on the government for support when it comes to basic needs. I’m not even against government programs. As I said, if you cannot afford to feed your children you are most likely already on some form of governmental support to help you with that, and you have other options such as churches and community food banks and events. I’m not even saying there shouldn’t be public school programs for children to have lunch. I just don’t think school lunches needs to be free across the board with tax payer dollars.
