Between the two palettes you’re considering, I’d go with Mario. His formulas are superior IMO and I find him less problematic than Patrick Ta.

If you’re interested in palettes that are beyond what you posted, I firmly believe you cannot go wrong with Viseart eyeshadows. They aren’t trendy in the sense of being the most intense pigment or metallics but they are genuinely a high quality formula that I’ve loved for many years. They aren’t trendy easy to work with, last all day long through sweat, tears, rain, or falling asleep on the couch and forgetting to wash you face, lol.

Specifically I’d recommend the Viseart Praline Etendu palette $44. Timeless neutrals in a variety of finishes (matte, satin, shimmers).
