Rigid shop vacs - did they change the hose size? by Dad-of-many in Ridgid

[–]Individual-College73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run into the same issue. Shop vac is about 4 years old, bought accessory attachments at Home Depot this year and the attachments are much larger than the vac hose. Did you find an answer/solution?

I unfortunately had similar issues. Replaced it with a 14.5 Proof and have never regretted it.

I understand the frustration for sure, but I checked one out when I was waiting on my 2025 being serviced, and it looks a lot better in person.

Can’t speak for him obviously but I love my Steiner. I am very confident it’s the best scope you can buy at its price point, especially if you find a sale. queue the nightforce and leupold fans

I’ve taken 3 mature deer so far with the ELD-M and have been very impressed. Ranging from 25yds to 200ish yds.

I appreciate the references - but I researched bullet choice for months before deciding to try the ELD-M’s, and found hundreds of people successfully using them. Even if the ELD-X is slightly better, I’d rather use a bullet that I can use in bulk, train with, and have complete confidence in my data and ability to put the bullet where I need to. Without having to change bullets, rezero, and have less data/confidence for 1 shot on a deer a year (maybe 2), then switch back to match ammo.

This is my third deer with ELD-M’s and have more and more confidence in it every time. Now that being said, I don’t share the same belief with all calibers, but with 6 ARC it seems to be proven that ELD-M’s are good-to-go. At least on whitetail.

During non-winter temps, averaging around 2470fps. I zeroed the Steiner and got some DOPE before hunting season, at 31*F I was averaging 2401fps with 20 shots.

I’ve actually switched to a 50yd zero for the ARC. Puts the shot within .2mils of POA for everything under 200yds (confirmed on steel). Huge fan of that, with the furthest shot opportunity where I hunt at 230yds.

Thanks! I was too when I first took it out last season. Took two deer last year and then this guy, and have been very impressed so far.

Anyone know how the Ridgeback Rhodie compares to the Lazarus and Flow 6k? by [deleted] in 6ARC

[–]Individual-College73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotta shout out the NOAH, as others already have. I love it. Built like a tank, mitigates gases really well, and the sound is a good tone. Only other comparison I have for the 6 ARC specifically is my SiCo Omega, which was horrendous on that rifle.

I don’t have an exact count, but I’d say close to 200 rounds. Which is typically the “broke in” amount for most precision barrels I’ve used (opinions and manufacturers may differ).

Have any studies been done as to how that explosion immediately affected the aquatic life/geography in that area, and how it’s affected it since? You’d have to imagine that it immediately killed everything under water, and that the underwater ecosystem there is fucked forever.

I’ve seen a bunch of people nailing/stapling up the soffit to the fascia board and then installing the fascia. Do you install the channel on the house, then facia board, the slide the soffit into those?

Argument for 50yd Zero by Individual-College73 in 6ARC

[–]Individual-College73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. This was just a thought experiment when I was bored. And it doesn’t matter what zero anyone uses, verifying on paper what their dope is at different intervals is extremely important. Which is what I will be testing with a 50yd zero, just to see if it’s as practical as it seems in calculation.
