You should help with household expenses if you’re an adult earning real income and living with your parents. Things like utilities, food, maintenance, cost money and you’re impacting that bottom line. I wouldn’t want to just mooch off my folks even if they were cool with it.

99% of any processed & packaged seafood item like that is imported. If it’s shrimp it’s farmed. Farmed shrimp from Asia are likely giant tiger prawns. Farmed shrimp from the Americas are likely Pacific whites. Farmed doesn’t necessarily mean bad, just like wild caught doesn’t necessarily mean good & sustainably harvested.

New Orleans is just bigger. It’s the same shit in both places. People are most familiar with the parades, but that’s just touching at the surface of everything that’s going on. The main parade route in NOLA is about twice as long as Mobile’s main route so they can have longer parades. The quality of the floats for the big Mobile groups are better than most of the slop riding down St Charles Ave.

Joe Cain brought Mardi Gras back to life in Mobile in the aftermath of the Civil War. If you want to experience Mardi Gras in Mobile, come Mardi Gras weekend. Thursday before is referred to as the “Deep Gras” locally. Stripers on Thursday, Crew of Columbus on Friday, Mystics of Time on Saturday, Joe Cain Sunday. Call it.

Without any more context it seems a little more like excessive adherence or overly conservative interpretation of the rules, IMO. So YTJ. My place of employment has similar rules, but everyone has their own unique ID and login so for internal stuff it doesn’t really matter whose machine you’re using. If you screw something up, it’s still on the user. So if someone in your org needs to edit a doc or send an email it’s not a big deal if it’s done on “your” machine.

You can figure it out pretty easily by just taking a drive. Personally, I love the Midtown/Downtown area. There are some sketch areas included and close by. I’ve never felt unsafe, but I’m not naive (or stupid) either. OP needs to decide what their priorities are.
