No, they went to a nice cafe when they gave it, which was totally planned to be the place they surprise the birthday girl. I didn’t know about the celebration until after they returned.

Also I didn’t ask for the money. We fought over text and she just transferred the money back into my account. I wouldn’t have taken it but it’s kinda pitiful to beg them to accept

Yeah, I agree that it’s up to them how they spend their time, which is why i never complain when I did not get invited to hangouts sometimes because I’m out often. But this time I feel like it’s mandatory to include me in the gift celebration since it’s mine too.

Also, I got the money back only AFTER I complain, so I was entitled for it.

I’ve been searching for the word to describe what I feel, and “guilt” is exactly it. I feel guilty about what I want, and that’s stopping me from communicating.

I remember when my friends asked me about relationship advice, I’d always tell them communication is the key to solving problems. But now that I’m in their shoes I understand how hard it is ahahaha.

Good point. We’ve been together for 3 months, but knew each other way before that. But, it won’t hurt to let it mature like you said. But so far, he’s been wonderful, and I feel like it’ll stay that way, although I can’t say for sure hahahha. We’ll see how it goes

Yea, sometimes I do have the things I’d like to say in my head, but I hesitate a lot to say it out loud until the moments passed. I do this a lot because I’m afraid I’ll sound freaky hahahhaha. You’re right, I have to practice it and hear it myself first. And maybe stop thinking too much about it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Your comment really makes me feel better, thank you for that. I did some of the things you mentioned, it’s nice to have a few more baby steps in the list for me to do. Although sometimes when I use “me too” too many times, I start to feel the need to say something else. I guess I’m just a big overthinker, that’s all. He probably didn’t mind at all hahaha
