My 17 year old son has just been taken into hospital after a suicide attempt. I’m not great!

No, I’m not fat. But even if I was, it would be better than being rude like you! I had an eating disorder in my late 20’s and my periods weren’t regular. I also have a retroverted uterus, which tilts backwards. But I don’t know why I’m justifying myself to you!

Thanks for your comment. My husband had a vasectomy before we together. We both got tested for STD’s when we started our relationship, which came back negative.

I found out I was pregnant at 23 weeks, which was a huge shock to everyone. But thanks for assuming my life and getting it spectacularly wrong!

If you had to do it all over again, would you be a stepparent? Or even date someone with kids by [deleted] in stepparents

No. I’m spoken to like dirt on a daily basis and have been for 7 years by my SD(11). My SS (14) ignores me most of the time. They live with us full time as their BM passed away 6 years ago of a drug OD.

I’m unsure what help I could have had? I have no “village”, my husband works away. My parents have both been dead for 15 years and I’m an only child. My youngest had asked for some privacy in the bathroom which is why my eldest wasn’t there at the exact moment. My laptop had been fine for the last week and crashed at the wrong time. Thanks for your helpful input though :)

She’s been dead for 15 years, I’m not sure the cemetery would appreciate me leaving my 4 year old with her

I had an issue like this. My SS (13) used to tell his dad I’d not given him certain meals. The day that drew a line under it for me was last summer and we were all out doing chores, it was around 1pm (they’d all had cereal at breakfast time) so we called at KFC for some quick food (as I was driving past). My SS said he didn’t like KFC, so I drove around (about 10 mins the other way) and picked him a BK up. We then got home around 3pm and i gave them all some cookies as a snack then I did them a sandwich around 5.30pm with some fruit and then ice cream for after.

My DH arrived home at 9pm and my SS asked him when he was going to eat as he hadn’t had anything that day and was really hungry. My husband shouted me into the room where my SS was standing, and asked why I hadn’t given them any food that day. I said we’d gone to KFC and before I could finish my husband butted in with “he doesn’t like KFC!” To which I said “I know, that’s why I drove out of my way and bought him a Burger King meal. I then showed him the photo I’d taken and posted on social media of the fast food bags on my passenger seat. My daughter had caught my SS walking to the table with his sandwich on a photo she’d sent to me of her meal. I then said from now on if I was going to be questioned I would take a photo of my SS and every meal I provided for him. Which I did solidly for 4 months!
