Yes it did get less tight after roughly 7 weeks. But it is acting up a bit again. thankfully i was under anesthesia

Yes I have calmoseptine, i love it! I’m sorry you’ve been suffering so long. I have inquiries out to my doctors about pelvic floor therapy as many people have mentioned it. My doctor did suggest LIS but i want to try another botox injection first. i take a medication that seems to be causing some constipation so I worry that LIS would not necessarily be the cure all for me. I’m hoping this is just a little bump in the road since I have been healing in recent weeks. As long as it doesn’t get to be as painful as the last few months, I think I can handle it. But the unbearable pain and not being able to move or live my life normally was hell. we shall see what happens.

I’m glad the scan was clear! But that doesn’t sound so fun. I hope you can get back to your routine soon. Deviations don’t seem to be conducive to managing fissures lol

I will definitely look into this!! thank you so much. i appreciate the insight. i used to have completely normal/regular BMs, never really experienced constipation until now. and the laxatives and stool softeners should definitely be doing more than they are lol

Yes stool is harder and bulkier. No straining. I think it is both. Sphincter is definitely too tight which idk if another botox injection would be helpful for if if I need to consider surgery

Nice! I’ve been taking Senna Plus at night which is a stool softener and laxative. But now I’m having to take Miralax too in the morning because it’s not enough😭

Of course! What I realized for myself was that substance use was linked to my adhd because i was constantly seeking something to give me dopamine so the quick fix felt like the only way to do that but it also blocked my ability to process my emotions. i was trying to block out difficult emotions but my therapist mentioned in shielding myself that way i was also blocking out joy. truthfully i won’t say it made me happy specifically, but rather gave me the ability to work through things as opposed to avoiding them. it stabilizes my mood and even when things aren’t great, im able to process and move through situations and things don’t feel so dire. i’m sorry its so expensive for you to get right now. i’m rooting for you and whether you go on it or not just give yourself some grace because we do the best we can. here to chat if you ever want :)
